The entire Star Trek: The Next Generation cast reuniting for Picard Season 3

you know what, Picard might be pretty horrible of a show, but even still, i'm glad the crew is getting a legit final send off instead of Nemisis being the end. Hopefully we get a Star Trek VI final send off moment like "Second Star to the right and strait on till morning" with a beautiful credit close for this TNG crew.

They deserve this:

All Good Things... was a fine enough sendoff for the TNG crew.

The TOS cast in Star Trek VI is an up-and-coming K-Pop group in comparison to the geriatric TNG crew at this point.

And 1.5 seasons into Picard the writers clearly only have the shallowest understanding of TNG. They are not the people to give TNG as sendoff. This is going to be worse than that Berman/Braga finale of Enterprise.

The dumbest thing to have ever witnessed. There's 5 more episodes of season 2 and yet they're trying to get some hype for season 3. Now in season 3....let's jangle the nostalgia keys and please watch us....please....

Having followed most of these people on Twitter the last few years I have no doubt they will be pouring their hearts into this.... unfortunately. It will be a progressive orgy that will stamp out last ounce of Roddenberry's vision from the IP. To safely go where no person has identified before.

Haven't watched any of these but if paramount has a free trial I'm check it out for sure. Doing that with apple+ and fountain, for all mankind, and see have been awesome.

Cool they all still do this. Jean luc could have been a dick in real life and torpedoed stuff like this and conventions. Good thing he's a national treasure in 2 countries

Season 3 is still going to be shit. Mega memberberries are not going to save it.

I'm expecting one scene on a virtual Enterprise D set. Just watch that scene on Youtube and be done with it.

Season 2 has been vastly better than the first one. I don't know if it's because of Wersching or just general writing but it's been far easier to watch.

Man, that's depressing. All of them are signing up for this shitshow? I thought some of them had more class than this.

Hey, y'all remember that time Leonard Nimoy refused to cameo in Star Trek Generations because he thought the script sucked? Good times.

I'll never understand how the current media industry expects shows to be good when they keep changing showrunners and writers every season or even more frequent...
Ronald Moore has got to have some spare time to help run another trek show, right?

At this point im willing to let Joss Whedon take a crack at it.

I did a sex wee. Admittedly I haven't watched any of Picard. So this might get me into it.

I see Tasha Yar is forgotten.

I hope all these actors are getting fat checks to be involved in this garbage heap.

What they should really do is just dust off the 10 best TNG scripts and reshoot those eps. Guaranteed to be 1000% better than whatever new material they can come up with for bringing a bunch of retired officers (are they all Admirals at this point?) together to "do stuff".

  • Riker is actually the Bork King and wants revenge but Troi never sensed anything.
  • Data's brother Lore returns with the cast, after Geordi turns off his evil switch.
  • Wesley shows up wanting to commit space genocide.
  • Tom Hardy returns as Shinzon to say the show is trash.
  • Chakotay shows up and proposes to Seven, she says nanobots turned her bi.
  • Q turns Barclay into broccoli.
  • 3 Janeways agree to help destroy the timeline, if they can keep their favorite coffee mug.

The only Star Trek to acknowledge Lore since Descent Part 2 aired has been Lower Decks. He didn't exist in Nemesis or Picard S1.
Watched the first ep of Lower Decks and it was actually pretty good. The animated style works better for that kind of gutter humor than live action Orville, IMHO.

Was the first ep indicative of the quality or does the show nosedive into a trash bin?

The whole show is great. They turned the Pakleds into the big bad of the series and it's a brilliant choice.

When you can't even get Will Wheaton on bored (Who was a regular on TBBT playing as himself)
You know it's bad

Will Wheaton has been hosting a fan-wank post-show for Paramount's Star Trek shit called The Ready Room for the last three years...they already have him on board

No body is truly dead. Bring her back in a Romulan bio lab.
The Ferengi find records from the Genesis project and recreate it in a portable form. They are making a deal to sell it in a graveyard and it accidentally goes off. They buyer gets angry at their carelessness, stomps on the device, and leaves. The Ferengi steal some roses or something to try to make a little profit and then they leave.

Two days later, a groundskeeper hears a baby crying...

Data feels a disturbance in the force and has to find his first love... cue theme song.

Well Data is dead too. Lore is still around I think.

With this announcement and Strange New Worlds coming up no wonder the Reddit mods put r/star_trek out of action.

The r/startrek mods ban people if they criticise NuTrek on there. r/star_trek was made for friendly coat down discussion to be made..... Until the r/startrek lot went whinging and moaning to the actual Reddit admins to get r/star_trek shutdown. The r/startrek mods must be in bed with CBS and Paramount.
