Evil West - PC and Console specs

You've gotta be fucking kidding with this 1080p60 performance mode.

Holy shit at that cpu requirement...

Well at least the gpu requirement is pretty low, curious to see if 4k60 is doable on a 2070super...

Maybe the most reasonable PC specs I have seen on the last decade. Hopefully the PC port is great. And no shader cache stuttering ffs

These guys are hacks, it's good they're limiting performance to 1080p they might actually be able to achieve it.

I still can't believe this is a full priced game.

Yep another AA unoptimized turd. Nothing new here.
Wait until it actually comes out.

Those specs don't even make sense. If a 1060 does 1080p/60 at epic settings, then surely, the consoles can do 1440p/60. Seems more of a "we didn't bother adding a balanced mode". Those requirements are fairly modest.

AA PC devs don't give a fuck lol

This has a decent amount of hype behind it. Curious to see how it reviews.

Ouch. Wtf. I am still excited for this. If on Game pass I'd play it no matter what. I'll hold off until sale even if it reviews well.

OK, so what the fuck is this actually (meaning vs Console)

Shared memory bus cannot have this much impact.

A filthy 8600k but i'm fishing for a 13600k for the new build.

Oh yeah, I saw in the RTX 4090 thread you're getting a new PC.

The 8600k is better than the 2500k, so you'll be good. And it probably isn't too far off from the Ryzen 1600 or 10500. The i5 lineup has always been pretty solid. Definitely better than any i3 processors, which I don't think age well at all, even from generation to generation.

I was obvisouly talking about the recommended requirements, not the lower ones:lollipop_grinning_sweat:

Butcyeah i'm pretty sure my cpu is enough to handle this game, especially at 1800p-4k.

At first next gen consoles were kinda equivalent to 2070s, then they were mostly 2060s, now they're 1060s. The Alex Batallia prophesy made whole, praise Mistress Project Eve.

XboxOne/OneS: 1080p @ 30fps
XboxOneX: 2160p @ 30fps
PS4: 1080p @ 30fps
PS4 Pro: 1080p @ 30fps (with improved graphical quality compared to PS4)
Xbox Series S: 1080p @ 30fps

Kind of like how its 1080p/30 on both PS4 and PS4 Pro. You must of missed that though.
Obviously the OneX version is using XB1 settings at 4k, which it was designed to do, while the XSS is using XSX settings.

Maybe, I'm missing something, but how are the recommended specs on pc only a 1060 - yet this game is simultaneously so demanding that the best it can do on current gen consoles if you want 60fps is a 1080p resolution, whilst only needing an anemic GPU on pc?

Looking forward to this. Already preordered it off Cdkeys for $38. Please don't have shader compilation stutter.

Huh?
It's doing what it's advertised to do. Running 4K flagship games at 1080p, same framerate as the 2160p versions.

Didn't think this through, eh?

Is this what they call the mandala effect? Series S was a 1440p machine in 2020, now in 22 it's a 1080p machine, in 24?

And now it can't even have a 60 fps mode because it would be a mobile version.

The Xbox Series S is way more powerful than the PC configuration listed as the minimum specs, yet it performs identical? That is, 1080p/30FPS.
Seems like RAM is this game's bottleneck, which is also one of the worst parts of the XSS.

It's only £37.95 for a retail copy in the UK.

1080p/60fps is mega disappointing though.

*mandela. You not knowing the name is perfectly on brand.
It's always ever been targeted at owners of full HD, 1080p TVs.

And now you're just trolling.

1080p 60fps on flagships would probably resolve into 960p/60fps on the Series S.

'Mobile game' indeed.

I believe Series S has more VRAM than the GPUs in the recommended section.

You're overthinking this. Compare the specs for the recommended PC build vs the flagship consoles.
