It’s come to this? My goodness
They’ll have an issue because their argument falls on how much Sony will be losing but if they must show what they have in development or third party deals it kills that defense. Hope it leaks so I can see when the new sly cooper is coming outI'd say merge it with the other thread or at least put it in there rather than create it's own thread, but I'm not a mod.
I don't see Sony having an issue with this. I think there has been plenty said in public about how Playstation's pipeline and developer support works. The "secret" if there even is one is the execution and not the process IMO.
That's not what the article says: "According to a court filing, the Xbox maker wants Sony to divulge details of PlayStation’s game production pipeline". That's pretty clear that they are looking for how it is produced and not what they're producing. It would be none of their business what they have in their pipeline. They’ll have an issue because their argument falls on how much Sony will be losing but if they must show what they have in development or third party deals it kills that defense. It was always like that. It’s come to this? My goodness
Jim Ryan "you know on second thought MS owning Acitvision would be the finest thing for the industry of all-time. Can't wait to have dinner with Phil to celebrate"Discovery is a massive PITA. And yes, I'm speaking from experience. Incredibly stressful, as every line of everything you ever did is picked over and taken out of context to make you look bad.
I can't see how Sony will be able to limit it, given the thrust of their objections. Both sides will be hoping this is settled without going to court.
Xbox still trying to figure out how games are made.
If you want the Government to intervene on your behalf because you claim it'll be harmful for your business based on your current practices if they don't, you have to know that at some point you're going to need to prove that claim. Sony will need to show how Microsoft buying Activision allows Microsoft to foreclose on them. The FTC running with Sony's claims means Microsoft really has no choice but to get Sony to explain those claims, because the FTC clearly can't. Sony will need to explain how all of its developers, studios, games, and revenue streams are pointless garbage compared to Call of Duty. Should be a fun read.A wise man once said: "When everyone plays, we all win"
Edit: wait what?

The goofballs couldn't even get this right. Gave me a good chuckle.

That Jimbo always lending a charitable hand.
That would be a dumb move if they plan to recoup all of that 69 billion. So does Microsoft blacklist Sony if the deal ends up being approved?
Xbox tried to show their pipeline but had nothing to show so they need Sony's.
LMAO. Is it just me or does this read like Phil wants to know just how Sony is able to continue releasing first party exclusive after exclusive every year lol.The Xbox maker wants Sony to divulge details of PlayStation’s game production pipeline.
Sony had a lot to say to regulators so they should be more than happy to show how MS owning Activision keeps them from being able to compete. I'd imagine they should be excited to share.
Its just you. They basically want them to show the courts exactly what/how many releases they have coming up and why the acquisition could hurt them as much as they claim when they have so many of their own games coming out.LMAO. There is a stat out there that shows how CoD is literally played by 55% of console players. It was from some market research firm. Sony should have hard data backing this up. With Warzone now being F2P, the percentage is probably even higher.Sony doesn't need to show their exclusives to prove that losing Activision would massively hurt them long term.
All they have to do is look at the top NPD sellers every single year for like two decades LMFAO.
The fuck does it have to do with them? Is it because they can't manage their own shit properly?
Won't they have to show their own tactics of their third party exclusives as well if they try this shit?Perhaps this..
