Why would they theme him after a wolf when we already have Razor? A bear would be a better fit. No matter, he's gonna be another lanky husbando for the girls to cream over. No beard, no cool armor, the muscles are gonna be stuck on like with Itto.

Yea something shook their design philosophy at its core when the censored Mondstadt costumes hit. They must have flew too close to the sun and got CCP attention. Everything since then feels like they're trying to skirt by. I think Shenhe's recent official birthday art sums up the new direction of the game perfectly. There are clearly some weird guidelines in place now for character designs, whether it's of their own doing or CCP mandated.
I don't like believing random reddit shitposts, but it definitely lines up with that CN feminist nonsense if it can be believed. I don't live in CN so I have no way to verify, but it feels like a real life hexenzerkel has been in charge of Genshin for a while now, dictating what is and isn't appropriate. Dehya is available to try in the new vibro-crystal event. She is actually fun to play! But that's only because of the massive buffs characters receive in this event. I wonder how many people will be led astray by their experience with her here.

Willing to risk the next patch won't look good either. Baizhu being a 5-star shield+healer already means heavy cooldowns and poor dendro application, not to mention 80 energy cost. Unless people want dendro shield specifically, other shielders would be a better option than him. So I'm pretty sure people will either go to Nahida or simply save once again for the next region.
Wouldn't be surprised if they suddendly accelerate to the Fountaine because they can't handle sucessive new characters flops.

8.5-9/10 is shit. Classic jenshin design, so I'm not surprised. Again those droopy retarded eyes. That tie is moronic. And I always hated Kaeya's ridiculous fur, one of the reasons I never built him (even though I have him C6).

These are all skip for me since I already have Shenhe at C2, but is anybody else annoyed that the new 4* weapons that get added only appear limited time on specific weapon banners? I mean come the fuck on MHY, you could at least give us a break and add them to the standard pool after a while so everything doesn't feel so bad to get.7.5/10 is cool, except the retard eyes. It feels like we get the same combat event every patch, just dressed up with a different coat of paint.
Go to combat domain -> NPC gives some BS about why they need us to perform combat research - > event features trial characters and a selection of buffs that are specific to the elements featured for that day-> rinse and repeat.
Fortunately, there wasn't too much dialog from the quest NPC this time.

I actually like the NPC dialogue the most out of the whole event. If you talk to him after the intro part of the quest, you can find out lore bits from Fontaine, including that explosion and some names involved.
I fully realize I'm probably the only one left in this thread that gives even a passing thought to lore in this game anymore, but I still appreciate that they added something.
Regarding the event type, yea, it's very samey but I prefer them not wasting a bunch of time and resources to deliver half-assed combat events anyways. Just shove it out the door, give me my primos. I still wish they wouldn't have neutered the exploration part of Misty Dungeon. That was the only "type" I liked that felt like more than just "here's a diferent UI for combat buffs", but then they made the layout static for all subsequent reruns which ruined the whole thing.

I wouldn't say peps on this thread don't like the lore, they just acknowledge filler dialog that doesn't impact much.
I look forward to the Dain quests since those usually have a big reveal in them.

I'll have to go back and talk to the NPC again. The intro seemed to be leaning into the "Husky guy wants to eat" trope territory, didn't think he would be dropping any useful info.
