She is young and doesn't understand the adult world. I admire here ambitious bravery, but sometimes you need to draw a line between feelings and actual work. She lost me when she tried to push for unchecked power in making determinations and demanded auto-blocking any deal over $5 billion.

I do the same thing.
Can't say the same thing with gamepass.
Last time, I downloaded gears 5. Tried to uninstall it from my computer. Left with minimum storage, because the file of that game was hidden some where and I was short of few spaces.
I had to clean reset to get that shit away from my computer.
WTF?!.

The FTC's chair, Lina Khan, has targeted Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, claiming it would harm competition in the gaming industry, particularly against Sony's PlayStation. However, Microsoft has offered solutions to ensure parity between the PlayStation and Xbox platforms in respect of Call of Duty, and even admitted that taking the game exclusive would be unsustainable. This move by the FTC is seen as blocking American companies from competing with foreign rivals, while foreign governments are already weaponizing their trade authorities against US companies. Sony's lobbying efforts may also be a factor in this decision.

Sadly that was more of an Elizabeth Warren thing than Lina Khan. She lost me when she tried to push for unchecked power in making determinations and demanded auto-blocking any deal over $5 billion.

Lina Khan is just generally wasteful with her resources imo but she has done a couple of good things, Epic Settlement and the removal of non-competes. The latter which MS had gotten ahead of.
Do you have Apple products in UK? If yes, the law as you described it is not working. In UK selling, bait and switch is considered making an offer for goods or services at one price, with the goods or services ending up not as described for the price - typically leading to necessary addons at vastly higher price than the original deal - or offering goods & services at a too-good price, only to switch out the price later - once someone is committed by lack of options to step away or contractually - leading to paying more than the deal that was advertised.

It's not an article. It's an opinion hit piece. No one puts their name to it. I wouldn't wipe my arse with an article with no name.
You bought the popcorn too early? Why is my shirt is yellow? And what did I do to get shoved like that?
yeah, i did.You bought the popcorn too early?
She is young and doesn't understand the adult world. I admire here ambitious bravery, but sometimes you need to draw a line between feelings and actual work.
She brought it upon herself by pushing a political agenda over actually following the law. I'm certain MS would have been more than willing to work with the FTC on behavioral remedies to any concerns but she jumped right to a lawsuit. This was a missed opportunity to show how tough she could actually be on big tech over looking inept. It's not an article. It's an opinion hit piece.
It's play by words. She doesn't understand the adult world? Really? I've seen a lot of bs tossed her way, but this is a new one.
It's play by words.
She is young person (34) holding that position vs old people who have way more experience than her.
She needs a lot of experience in that position, especially court systems.
So many people have voiced condescending opinions about her. Her gender, her motives, her intellect, her looks, and now her age have all been used to insult her. If that's what you want to do, though, I'll just leave you to it. I, on the other hand, will continue to support a person who is doing her job.
I made no comments about any of that. She has failed at her primary job of running the FTC. All the Republicans on the panel resigned and her track record in federal court is atrocious. Lawyers have also been quitting. She just isn't doing a good job and it has nothing to do with her being female or how she looks. Even the op-ed mentioned earlier doesn't bring up any of that nonsense. She should not be supported running this organization poorly. So many people have voiced condescending opinions about her. I was replying to you. I'm trying to figure out why anyone would support someone who is ruining an organization as important as the FTC. You really think she is doing a good job?I wasn't speaking to you. Did my words bother you for some reason?

This is not an insult. I don't know where you are getting this from.So many people have voiced condescending opinions about her. This is not an insult. I don't know where you are getting this from.
She is getting criticized by her peers and people who work in her department.
And people who work in politics won't leave her alone.
But someone somewhere must've said something about her looks. This is not an insult. I don't know where you are getting this from.

One of things we have to deal as a pc gamers.
you Xbox fans don't know how much MS is treating us.
I have unwavering support of the law. I don't care what topic we are talking about. Corporations are entitled to a fair hearing just like any other and that includes your favorite company despite your holier-than-thou attitude.I already know why you're so against her. Let's just say I'm not like you when it comes to unwavering support of corporations and leave it at that. Consequently, there is no point in getting into a serious discussion about Lina Khan with you. After all, no matter what I or anyone says, so long as she doesn't support MS you will continue to talk about her like you do.
Exactly. This is bigger than just this merger. Her failures are in multiple areas. That person seemed deeply uninformed of her gross incompetence and poor judgement.

Lina Khan is a terrible manager of the FTC and this is true no matter what company mergers she is supposed to be overseeing. Her failure isn't just with this particular merger. She had lost talent within the organization and can't even work well with other members of the board. No one who is actually objective should be supportive of that.
