I feel like we haven't even really taken full advantage of the current versions of the consoles. I don't see a point in pro versions right now.
I know nothing about it being 100% honest but have known for awhile now Sony's Pro model is in the works but don't know if Xbox is following suit or notI know you have connections. Can you share anything?
Tom knows someone really close in the Sony hardware dept as he was the first to say Sony was bringing a pro controller out100% trust me bro.

The thing I heard early on is there wont be the focus on TF count this time its going to push RT and better frames SUPPOSEDLY
I want but as a late 2024 launch
Acept the pain for what? because you believe i cant afford new hardware? Because you believe if there is a ps5 pro in the making, is going to make me regret having a ps5? LOLYou're in denial. Just move to acceptance and save yourself the pain.
PS5 didn't focus on TF count to begin withI know nothing about it being 100% honest but have known for awhile now Sony's Pro model is in the works but don't know if Xbox is following suit or not

Thats not how mid-gen refreshes work bruh...Why? Isn't the ps5 the most powerful...
What a joke lol![]()
I don't get what the issue is... there doesn't have to be a pitch. It's simple, this is a PS5, it cost $299... and here is a PS5pro, it cost $499. The pro gives you higher fps and better graphics.PS4Pro at least served a purpose/had a natural marketing angle in offering 4k output and HDR, I doubt 8k is anywhere near that draw and given that 60fps is way more prevalent unless they are upselling 120fps I just don't see a marketing angle.
"More power" is not a strong enough sales pitch by itself, in the console domain most people judge on the games not the specs. Which is why SX failed to make a difference.

You gotta be a special kind of stupid to be against a OPTIONAL mid gen upgrade
Some of these cross gen games are already struggling with consitent 60FPS
WhY iS SonEH offeRing uS wiTh OpTionS?!?!?
PS4 launched weak put of the gate with its CPU. PS5 was well rounded in all areas in 2020 and did not have the same problems as PS4.For the record PS4 launched end of 2013 in November. PS4 Pro launched at the end of 2016 which is exactly 3 years.
PS5 launched in November of 2020.
PS5 Pro launching in November of 2024 most likely, that's a 4 year difference with an extra year compared to previous gen.
It will be due by then.

How is this any different from someone buying a GPU and picking either a 4070 or 4090? Buy what you can afford. If I were only, I would make the PS5 $299 and me the PS5pro $599. Sell the thing at a profit.
Why?TERRIBLE news. FUCK mid-gen upgrades !
Correct. PS4 Pro was positioned as a response to the drop in 4k tv prices, and surge in adoption there of, happening at that time. Between that and the crappy CPU the midgen refresh felt like a huge value add at the time.PS4 launched weak put of the gate with its CPU. PS5 was well rounded in all areas in 2020 and did not have the same problems as PS4.
Well it did launch 2 TF weaker than the competition the only reason Series X's advantage haven't manifest is because their most competent devs haven't released anything yet. While I agree it's a well rounded amazing machine it's still underpowered relatively speaking..PS4 launched weak put of the gate with its CPU. PS5 was well rounded in all areas in 2020 and did not have the same problems as PS4.
Try 720p. As seen with Jedi survivor.Folks are saying this because UnReal Engine 5 games aren't out yet. Which will probably make the PS5/XSX 1440p 30fps machines with all the effects turned on.
Name one other generation where this happened before.30fps will never cease to exist. As consoles get more powerful devs will push harder and harder with graphics. It's only gone momentarily when transitioning from one generation to another.
Thanks for the response.I know nothing about it being 100% honest but have known for awhile now Sony's Pro model is in the works but don't know if Xbox is following suit or not

What is this post?
I think most of the people complaining don't want to feel like second class citizens because they can't/won't buy one.
The PS5/Series X are still weak as hell. Plus with Ray-Tracing being introduced and technology moving so quickly mid-gen refreshers are to be expected.PS4 launched weak put of the gate with its CPU. PS5 was well rounded in all areas in 2020 and did not have the same problems as PS4.
Well, that's their problem.
Nah not at all.The PS5/Series X are still weak as hell. Plus with Ray-Tracing being introduced and technology moving so quickly mid-gen refreshers are to be expected.
Many games still having performance problems on both machines, this will help alleviate that.
..why?
