That's over a month old.
It's not over, until they announce it's over.thank the lord , it is finally over
That is stupid statement.Microsoft owning Activision will have no effect on the cloud market, because there is hardly a cloud market as is. Owning CoD isn't going to stop other cloud rivals from starting.
So without the 10-years deals the cloud market could be better stronger and faster?
thank the lord , it is finally over
What's over?
/sMicrosoft owning Activision will have no effect on the cloud market, because there is hardly a cloud market as is. Owning CoD isn't going to stop other cloud rivals from starting.
So you think MS will be this unstoppable force in the cloud market? In 10 years Sony will still be on top of the console market and their cloud will be growing with time. That is stupid statement.
It's like saying MS owning windows has no bearing on PC gaming market.
MS will have the most attractive cloud gaming service. Not to mention, they will also have gamepass as a supplier.
That's literally MS's goals and the driver behind all of their infrastructure investment. Both the CMA and EU agreed on that outcome happening. So you think MS will be this unstoppable force in the cloud market? In 10 years Sony will still be on top of the console market and their cloud will be growing with time.
Everyone is free ... but some companies doesn't want to... why take two always says that doesn't want to put their games on gamepass?ABK is free to make deals on their own while remaining third party (like they do now), without a sole gatekeeper consolidating the industry.
Everyone is free ... but some companies doesn't want to... why take two always says that doesn't want to put their games on gamepass?
For what I know is microsoft that believe and push the cloud not abk and maybe they have the money to do so...
For example...how many abk titles are in streaming services?
Ask Xcloud. They are going all in on that.So you think MS will be this unstoppable force in the cloud market? In 10 years Sony will still be on top of the console market and their cloud will be growing with time.
I asked AI Poem Generator to help me out with this:
Somehow that made more sense.I asked AI Poem Generator to help me out with this:
Everyone is free, that's what they say,
Yet some companies still prefer to play,
They hold their games close to their chest,
Not wanting to share with all the rest.
Take Two is one of those who refuse,
To put their titles on Gamepass to amuse,
They claim it's not the way to go,
But Microsoft pushes cloud and wants to grow.
Some say it may be all about the money,
Others think it's just barriers to keep things sunny,
But the truth is, we just don't know,
How many ABK titles in streaming services doth show?
So let's not judge or be too quick to blame,
Perhaps both sides are playing a different game,
One thing's for sure, we'll just have to wait,
To see how this all unfolds and what's at stake.
** Asks Google **So you think MS will be this unstoppable force in the cloud market?
Sadly, noJesus Christ. Are you an interrogation expert by trade? Past life? Moonlighting?
That is not a good manner. That is called common sense, which all of us here lack sometimes.Sadly, no, quite the opposite, good manners from an early age. If you can't read a situation, you can't be sure of what the "good" mannered response should be.
Good manners requires a life study of social dynamics IMHO.
Bobby Kotick has a secret: He was ready to buy Time Warner a few years ago. The CEO of Activision Blizzard drops this nugget early on while sitting at the company’s Santa Monica headquarters for his first extensive interview since 2012. It’s a Friday afternoon in mid-April, which means the office is mostly deserted. Huge replicas of characters and actual backdrops from the video game giant’s roster of franchises — including Call of Duty, Diablo, Overwatch and Candy Crush — dot the landscape of the open-architecture space. The quiet in the building and the low midafternoon light give the place a slightly spooky, fun house vibe.
“We’d take their IP and turn it into games. They’d take our IP and turn it into film and television, and we’d have an extraordinary company,” Kotick says, sketching out his vision for a deal in an alternate universe in which AT&T never bought Time Warner and Activision took it on instead. In reality, the Justice Department lost its lawsuit to block the sale of Time Warner to AT&T. But during the first half of 2018, when the fate of the $85.4 billion Time Warner purchase hung in the balance, Activision Blizzard took a cue from its “Call of Duty” commandos: It stockpiled financial ammunition and waited patiently for an opening to pounce.

In summary:

- If a company doesn't want their games on gamepass then they need to be forced to via Microsoft buying them out. Gamepass above all else, no matter the cost.
- No company will ever put their games on a cloud streaming service unless Microsoft buys them out. Therefore, for that reason alone, everyone should let Microsoft buy them out.
Google's failure had nothing to do with Microsoft.** Asks Google **
Yeah.
Only the big players can really afford the level of infrastructure needed, Google already failed, amazon aren't doing much better, so yeah ms already kind of are.
How else does the "gift" of those 10 year bullshit deals seem like a good thing to the little guys.
Having cod on their system even if they aren't getting any money from it keeps them relevant, but it also increases MSs stranglehold in the cloud market.
Which is essentially the CMAs argument.
MS biggest obstacle is the renogation. After that, they need to overcome the original decision. Then try and to get appropriate remedy in order to get it approved. All of that, while racing the dead of the deal.
CMA can delay their decisions as long as they want to and drag MS appeal.

Anyone who believes cloud gaming is nichie need to touch a grass.A company could completely dominate cloud gaming for the next 20 years and still not really make an impact. It's niche. It's nice to be able to do in rare circumstances but it's still niche.
According to both Google and the CMA, and Google very much told the CMA this, but their bowing out was thanks in no insignificant part to Microsoft.Google's failure had nothing to do with Microsoft.
And based on the stories i've heard from colleagues at MS, worked as contractors at Xbox Game Studios, and devs at some of their biggest and smallest team - Microsoft will not be helping in this regard either. MS is far better at covering up their mess.A new leadership could help with these issues.

Them bowing out proves there isn't really market for cloud gaming. Its just a substitute right now for traditional gaming. (PC, Sony, Xbox)According to both Google and the CMA, and Google very much told the CMA this, but their bowing out was thanks in no insignificant part to Microsoft.

When Xbox is like this in console space, imagine how other business look like in that spectrum. As the regulators have said, it is a nascent market. Google shutting down Stadia doesn't prove anything in that regard. There is a long list of companies that have left the console business since it was a nascent market. Casualties in new markets are common, especially in tech.
