Blue Beetle | Official Trailer

Except that it looked nothing like the current beetle:

And? BB came out in the 1930s. The most well known BB, Ted Kord, had no relation to the original BB... Night Owl from Watchmen is based on the Ted Kord BB... Jaime Reyes is more recent and the tech is alien based whereas Kord and the original BB both were Terran based technology.

Also, 1930s comics heroes usually only had those Domino masks. Not full on alien super suits.

So the Jaime Reyes one is based on Iron Man?

Still leaps and bounds ahead of anything DC has released in the last 10 years
You can't be talking about Joker, James Gunn's suicide squad, or Peacemaker, so it seems that your issue is with Snyderverse.

No need to worry anymore though, Snyder is out. After Flash comes out his universe will be closed and put onto a shelf.

Jesus Christ.

At least TRY to do something different.

Also "Batman is a fascist" is classic woke dumb shit speech, so there's going to plenty of that in this film probably.
You should see the latest Indiana Jones trailer. Blaming people stealing on capitalism, I kid you not. Maybe it's time to stop quota hiring all these female activists fresh out of college.

Everyone in the audience is going to have sore arms after seeing this movie at the theater. "Slug Bug! Punches arm"

"Familly makes you weak"
"NAH, it's what makes me strong!!!!"

We've all seen this 100 times before.

It's a much better cut trailer than the first but it still looks too generic for its own good. The UI in the beetle suit still looks cartoonish, like something from a child's toy, and the design of Carapax looks uninspired.

I think the movie will be squarely targeting teens and this is the best cut trailer they could manage to make it look at least somewhat appealing to adults. I'm sure Gunn doesn't care because all of these bombs save his own The Suicide Squad (also a bomb) were produced before he took on his new role, but man, if the first movie technically produced under his watch isn't a hit I could see Zaslav giving him the quick axe. Because that guy seems to be completely ruthless with only the dollar meaning anything to him.

The real super power is the amount of tax this movie will let them write off, looks like a straight to DVD film for a character I've never heard of, there must be some accounting reason this exists and didn't go straight to the pooper like Batgirl.

My son is excited for it. And my wife appreciates the cultural aspect. My expectations are low but a few cervezas should help and , for me, really only WW84 and SS1 were not fun films. Allllll the rest of their stuff has hit for me.

I imagine this movie is going to flop and flop hard.

If Indiana Jones can't get people to the theaters, I doubt this obscure superhero that no one seems to care about is going to. Plus it's DC.

If it's genuinely good it'll probably do alright through word of mouth. But I doubt it'll be that good.

Unbelievably bad.

This shit is going to bomb harder than the Flash. Holy crap that new trailer is terrible.

Please stop with the fucking kiddy hip-hop in your trailers, DC. Please.

Looks fun but I doubt it will succeed just seeing as how flash and other late superhero movies have failed.

I mean Flash had Batman and supergirl and all the cameos and still failed and they expect a "blue beetle" movie to succeed...

Joker was decent. Suicide squad bombed and shit all over its villain and characters. It rightly bombed. Peacemaker had its spots but largely was campy schlock.

Snyderverse did better than anything after it that DC has made revenue wise. Snyderverse ended with Justice League. Trying to say the flash is Snyderverse when the man has been gone for several years is silly as hell. BB looks like a dumpster fire and will likely be the biggest bomb yet.

It's pretty funny to me how people assume Gunn is the answer when his films are all silly and campy which is exactly what fans are tired of. Guardians 3 had people wanted to see the end. I expect his films to fall flat on their face unless he reinvents his style.

B+ cinemascore (terrible). Under 25 million opening weekend (also terrible).

Lovely to see the DCEU (because this is a DCEU movie) going out like the long drawn out, diarrhea laden, fart it always has been.

Roll on Aquaman 2!

Lol…comic book movies are going to do worst and worst
Corrected for you, mate

In all serious, those movies are too all over the place and all the time. It's not like "I wanna see that guy" anymore, because I saw the guy like five times in the same year, in different movies, shows... The thing became a fatigue, and everyone is tired

It's a shame thou. 10 years ago, when we have like two or three comic book movies a year, this movie could do good I think. Brazil loves Bruna Marquezine

the movie is bad, they just do the same old story beats from the 40 other superhero movies, but put half the dialogue in Spanish and throw in a load of digs at America.

I'm not even American but felt they went for some real low blows out of nowhere. I just want to watch a movie, I don't need to be lectured on border policy, poverty and.. wait for it.. the Vietnam war.

Main actor is likeable but that's all I got for positives.

Watched the dark knight recently a meaningful super hero film, situation has lives on the line, I was blown away by how serious it was todays super hero films are quite literally comedies.
