Great OT but I think the characters are a bit out of order with the text!

Great job with the OT! Earlier than expected.

I played the demo and had a lot of fun with it. Will be hard to make some time for this with Armored Core 6 but i will try to do so.

I have this preordered on Steam. I'm hoping it will be great like Chained Echoes.

Probably won't have time to play this between AC6, Starfield, BG3 and RDR but will definitely play it once I'm done with them.

How does it look? Mobile is a bit fucked I know, but static width seemed to work in preview?
The text for Valere is below her GIF and for the others it's above them. Compared to the desktop view. And the alignment is a bit off. Only on mobile. The rest looks fine.

Have kept an eye on this for a few years now and it was mainly due to the gorgeous art-style and animation. I also played the demo and it was quite decent. While I am not a fan of action elements in turn-based games, the aspects other than combat still make it worth playing for me.

So yeah, looking forward to it via Gamepass.

Nice OT!

Looking forward to it. Think I want it on Switch but I'll try it on Game Pass first. The demo didn't really grab me because it seems to start at a random point in the game.

Great OT, I am 100% going to play this, unfortunately its releasing at a time where other games hold my interest more.

Maybe late September or November after the glut of releases has passed.

i hope this game is at least as good as chained echoes, the price hasn't been released on Steam yet but i'll probably pre-order it.

Hopefully its better. I dropped off of CE as soon as I got the airship and things opened up. It was real good up until that part albeit a few pain in the ass difficulty spikes.

Is this actually a story sequel to The Messenger? I might have to replay that. I never did finish it.
It said to play in the same universe but to what extent i'm not sure. Some reviewer mentioned that no knowledge of the Messenger is needed to enjoy the game.

Any word on combat difficulty and puzzle hand holding? Saw some puzzles in the game, truly hope it's not something where the game will give me a bunch of hints like GoW: Ragnarok to quickly solve it.

There was no handholding in the demo for the puzzles and combat seems challenging. I was running out of healing items by the end of it.

Any word on combat difficulty
Combat can be made more difficult using gambits, which you can choose which to turn on and change the gameplay in different ways. For example, one gambit does the following reduces HP by 95%, but then doubles damage and also reduces damage to 1 but only if you get the defence timing right.

You can see the demo boss fight using this gambit turned on below:

But did you notice that in your time with the game ?
English is not my first language first of. Second of all I was too busy enjoying the characters, story and the combat and the music to worry about a bunch of text on screen.

I am not going to sit there and waste time to perfectly read the text.

That's good enough to me, if it isn't something that doesn't immediately jump out at you like some of those infamous PS2/PSP localization cases we've seen.

I'm kind of a grammar nazi. Not a deal breaker, but it can make a game look cheap for sure.
I am only a grammar nazi when it comes to writing professional written reviews or youtube scripts. It's very rare for me to notice small grammatical mistakes in a video games.

I feel like if Baldur's Gate 3 had grammatical issues then that would.be a different story since it's extremely dialogue based, but then again I am sure they have professional grammar nazis for hire for a game like that + everything is voiced.

Grammar isn't what concerns me.....it's the game being too "text heavy" from what I am hearing. If there's a good story to be told, then good...but I don't want to be stuck in dialogue for 15-30 mins like I was for Eastward (another 16 bit like indie). The demo had some of this where NPCs I didn't care for were going on and on and on for like 10+ minutes with what I call uneventful filler dialogue. Otherwise the game looks insanely fun.

It depends if the dialogue are as good as The Messenger it's ok for me. Eastward is just a boring game.

Review scores are very high. They also were for Chained Echoes and i think the game was "just" good though.
