I like "sexy" designs in video games but not really fan of seeing actual sex scenes.....they always looks awkward and it doesn't add anything to the game.

I don't really have a set preference, it's context specific. It can work in some games and be cringe in others.
 
You probably really have to know what you're doing. It seemed kind of OK in mass effect but that game received a lot of bullshit for it as we all remember.

As a married man that has tons of sex, and sadly has 3 kids(pull out game sucks), I can say that not one game has ever done romance well, or not make it borderline retarded. I'd prefer games get rid of the dumb stuff.

Want to see tits and ass, watch porn. Leave sex to the professionals.

VR porn is pretty great. My wife and I just delved into some stuff with that.

All I will say is animation. Sex... hell affection in any way, is one of those things that sticks out like a sore thumb with regard to the uncanny valley. if animated right and presented well, it would be ok, but usually it's not, and hence cringe AF.

If the game doesn't have sex scenes, I drop it. It's one of the factors of a great game.

It goes like this. Story, gameplay, music, and sex scenes.
 
The only game that I enjoyed the sex scenes is Witcher 3, really well set and executed. Especially the for both DLC.

And weird enough, I think Cyberpunk's sex scenes are cringy as fuck.

Ah yes custard's revenege on the Atari 2600. I much prefer how Defender of the Crown handled it all, tastefully done. I can barely remember Mass Effect scenes or anything to out there. The last of us 2 may have pushed things a bit to far. Not something I care about overall in my video games to be honest.
 
Theres nothing wrong with them.

If literally every other form of media can have them then why cant games.
 
Sex in video games is stupid. It is unnecessary it adds nothing to the experience, kissing is alright, but sex is too much. If you want to wank watch porn.
 
I don't have an opinion really. I don't care if it's in or isn't in the game. Doesn't add to the game or take anything away if it's in there.

What I find funny is that western journalists criticize Asian games being "horny" because of sexy designs and yet in most western games you often see full nudity and characters humping each other but apparently that not "horny" in their eyes.

Seems they can never get the animation right. Even kisses often look really, really bad in almost every game. I think being able to have sex in games can be fun but I don't need to see poorly animated and super un-sexy scenes with lifeless faces of it.

I think if they insist on these, they should hire the guys that do those pr0n 3d clips with famous game characters.

Or better yet skip the sex part. Show the characters getting naked and then fade to black.

Or do it like it was done in the movie Quantum of Solace - the girl enters his room and that's that.
 
Hardcore is better than softcore, but subject matter is most important. Defining a whole characters personality through sex is boring, using sex as a theme is compelling.
 
It's always been cringy for me, but I'm not one of those prudish people that thinks that nudity in a game is that big of a deal either. This is one issue that I truly am indifferent about, it's not something that I need in there (I'd just watch porn, tbh - right hand is not necessarily available to play a game at that point anyway :messenger_winking_tongue: ), but I don't think it's something that needs to be hidden away. Though I know most of the world is less buttoned up in that regard than the US anyway.
