They'll have to put something out before it leaks so I'd say concep trailer sometime this month and a presentation at the top of next year would be the most logical.

I suspect a price cut for current models to keep sales closer to target on Q4

if it's in production, it's only a matter of time now until one of the case parts and therefore the design gets leaked.

maybe even a fully assembled unit.

always happens.

It cracks me up that all the fanboys were already preparing themselves to explain how much having no physical button but only haptics was going to be the most brilliant revolutionary idea ever.

You gotta be a devout fanatic to buy that as a good idea. Touch is almost always the worst kind of control scheme.

There was a UI leak for the switch 2, it was posted and DMCA'd hella quick on every site including GAF

Why announce now for a march release? That would kill Christmas switch sales dead.

Surely a March announcement then release say next September makes muchore sense.

Or am i missing something?
At this point, Nintendo probably isn't expecting to light the sales chart on fire with switch sales this christmas. But they could.... sell preorders for the new console.

That's what they did with the original Switch.

Well it's up to Nintendo now... Either we get an official announcement or we get some major manufacturing leaks. Either way, if its true mass production has begun, we will probably see the Switch 2 before October.

How does that make sense, it's another 6 month window. Switch sales are cooling off, they need to announce to keep share holders happy.

Spending money on production equipment != console is in production. Things take time to set up.
This. We'll probably get an announcement before mass production begins.

It would make sense if they were willing to wait a whole other year for a successor, but I think that would be a mistake.

They need to announce something good. Someone needs to light a fire under Sony's arrogant ass, fuckers increase the price of the Dual Sense again in France by 5€...

I don’t think this really matters a whole lot.

A) it could just be one last revision of Switch

B) even if it is Switch 2, it’s not coming before March 2025.
