Current Pc graphics king?

Eh, not really sure on this but Stalker 2 is pretty impressive at times. In recent memory of games that I have played this one is the tops for me right now.

Best lookers to me:

Cyberpunk 2077
RE4 Remake
Hellblade 2 (argument can be made if this is a video game or not)

Horizon Forbidden West on pc with everything at ultra settings at 4k with DLAA looks absolutely stunning
Looks almost the same on PS5.

Alan Wake 2
Black Myth: Wukong
Cyberpunk 2077
Frontiers of Pandora
Hellblade 2
Flight Sim 2024

I don't care that much for naturalistic outdoors. It's always randomly distributed rocks and grass.

Give me man made buildings, houses, cities and indoor areas with a lot of hand made details.

For that reason i would vote for something like Cyberpunk, Robocop or Silent Hill Remake.

Flight Sim 2024
Haven't played that yet, heard to much complaints around launch, people couldn't even start it iirc.
But it's good enough for this list? Have they improved low altitude visuals? Could look really rough in the last game.

Playable tech demo hellblade 2
Actual game wukong
Remake sh2
Open world probably avatar, stalker 2 is way too buggy and the animation\characters work is just too meh to be king of anything and outlaws is way too uneven

Anal wake 2 can get a special mention i guess.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Alan Wake 2
Forza Horizon 5
Black Myth: Wukong
Forbidden West
Cyberpunk 2077
A Plague Tale: Requiem
Frontiers of Pandora
Hellblade 2
Flight Sim 2024 (when it works)

Cyberpunk 2077 Path Traced, with some mods.

Nothing comes close from a technical point of view.

Silent Hill 2 maxed out using Ray Reconstruction also looks virtually flawless.

RoboCop: Rogue City is similar, but unlike Silent Hill 2 the game maxed out is identical to PS5 in Fidelity Mode.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a great RT showcase and much better than console version, which is now even worse on Pro.

Horizon Forbidden West on pc with everything at ultra settings at 4k with DLAA looks absolutely stunning
Not really, as it would imply a console game looking worse on PC than base PS5 is the best looking PC game.

Worse character detail textures, worse hair and fur, worse distant LOD, worse water particles, some missing soft shadows.. and otherwise absolutely identical maxed out minus a slight improvement on SSR, and DLAA vegetation AA which is matched by the later Pro support along with other additional improvements.

Forbidden West lighting is technically an entire generation behind Cyberpunk Path Traced, and many games using simpler RT lighting.

The videos I've seen of Cyberpunk make me not even want to play the gimped Steam Deck version. That game is an absolute looker.

Cyberpunk 2077 w/ Path Tracing.
Alan Wake 2 w/ Path Tracing.
Black Myth Wukong w/ Path Tracing.
Avatar Frontiers of Pandora.

Horizon Burning Shores somehow sneaks itself here as it definitely has some of the best visuals in the business even though it doesn't have Path Tracing nor any at RT effect.

I just wish Nvidia would release the demo that they've shown at the RTX 40-series reveal back in September 2022, named Racer RTX.

They promised it'll release for everyone to run it on their PCs, but until now they haven't, weirdly enough, they showed it again at Siggraph 2023 with much higher technical ambitions, fully running Path Tracing (timestamped).

They confirmed they're still working on it, but I think they'll release the later Path Traced demo with the RTX 5090 release, it just makes sense.

I'm sorry post-processing bros, but chunky pixels are still the king of graphics.

If you consider technical aspects alongside visuals, rather than just "game looks great!", prob Cyberpunk 2077 with path tracing.

I'll include FS 2024 too, when it is working.

Honestly this has been the most disappointing gen graphically. Most games look like PS4.5 games.

We don't have "generations" of graphics anymore. Graphics used to be the result of tailoring the games to the hardware. Now games are made for a general architecture and scaled up or down. Consoles are like smart phones now.

There is a free 'Backrooms' demo on Steam that looks disturbingly realistic in a Liminal way.

Just Downloaded Avatar Pandora On Turkey Day sale and so far it's up there. But have not had enough time to play to see the flaws yet.
Cyberpunk 2077 is the go to answer.

The most consistent: Alan Wake 2
Best effects: Cyberpunk, Portal RTX
Best overall: Avatar

Flight Sims, RDR2 and Wukong are impressive as hell too.
If you use mods then Cyberpunk and RDR2 draw distance and textures can be improved by a lot.
