He's burying himself with this. First of all he's ascribing power to her and other (his term) "grifters" that she/they simply do not wield and is doubling-down in a misguided attempt at saving face.

David, if by chance you happen to read this; I'd love to hear your rationale as to why critique by "grifters" is going to prove more effective than the failed enthusiast-press/legacy media's attempts at suppression/boycotting titles like Hogwart's legacy or Kingdom Come Deliverance?

Its all "culture war" nonsense, and as 70 years of research in media influence has proven, this sort of messaging only impacts on people already predisposed to the position being forwarded.

Its also why "deplatforming" and silencing is so pernicious and favoured by autocrats and totalitarians of all political stripes; Suppression is way easier than convincing people of things they don't already hold as truth.
 
Vara is pretty cute and all, but acting like she is dumb and only gets views by being a girl is just sexist rambling, because Jaffe has no real way of countering her points without getting personal.

Why not just develop new game?
He could just start a small project and go from there, but I guess he sputtered out, crash, and is burning.

I watched some clips about his recent antics and he seems desperate for something.

He hasn't done much of anything since his TM days and now his FT job is YT videos getting 2000 views per video.

It's pretty obvious he doesn't have the ambition or skills to make another game in his own or get hired by a company to make one.

So let grifters like him whose existence depends on YT clicks for two cents revenue per click do their thing.

One things for sure. It goes to show a lot of human beings will do anything when desperate for attention and click money.

Getting a normal job to resume a career will solve those issues. But that's a nada for guys like Jaffe.

He's been done for years.

He was only about 35 years old when he did GoW on PS2. That's when people should in the path to peaking before leveling off.

His career went from TM to GoW to more TM to terrible indie games to…..

Streamer where most of his video get hardly any views unless it involves wukong or gow.

One thing too. If any of you check his YT and sort to see highest view count videos. They are Wukong Reaction videos where he plugs that he was GoW director.

They guy is still plugging that job from almost 20 years ago.

I never understood the reverence he received for making God of War. It's literally a Devil May Cry ripoff. Sure, it was a good game, but by no means was as revolutionary as people present it to be.

He also made one of the most unlikable assholes of a protagonist in the history of gaming. A constantly angry brute taking out his anger on everyone except himself for being trigger happy.

I find it amazing he still plugs on his YT videos he was the director of gow.

The game was 20 years ago. At the time, 360, PS3 and Wii weren't even out yet.

IMO since he's the creator he should of stepped in and made 2018 and Ragnarok not be the amount of suck it narratively is.

The only Jaffe game I ever played was Twisted Metal, which kind of reminds me of him. I can see his personality in it. Driving around randomly crashing into other people.

Look....I respect Jaffe for creating God of War and leaving Cory in charge for directing the best GOW game with GOW2 and I thoroughly enjoyed Twisted Metal 2011,he will forever have my respect for all that but at this point his image goes further and further down the crapper from what he represented as a developer 20 years ago.

It just seems like he has to be so nose deep into his own bottled farts that he's high as a kite by now with the amount of weird takes he has on a monthly basis.

Props to him for finding an audience with that stuff but the internet is full of people with weird takes whereas there was only 1 guy that directed God of War in 2005.

He should be careful which of these 2 personas people end up remembering him by cuz it's starting to become a blur...

What he probably realized over the past 15 years is GoW will be the highlight of his career.

And by the vibe I get from him he's a pretty egotistical guy. He tried to make indie games in his own and failed miserably.

So for him, his own ventures failed and nobody wants him for another giant AAA game. He claims he turned down a $100M Tencent deal because he hates China too. At least that's what he claims.

So it looks like he'll only take a job if it's a AAA game under his terms, no Chinese companies, no more indie games, no more self studios.

What he does is compare offer A, B, C (assuming he even gets that many work offers to begin with) to GoW 20 years ago. If it's not as good it's beneath him to do it.

When it comes to jobs, a lot of people are like that. It can only be worth doing if it's bigger, better and pays more. If not. They aren't touching it.
