Gamepass delivered bigly in 2024

It's a great service, that's for sure. I am letting it expire though, as honestly I just simply don't have time to play all the games, and my backlog is insane. The service itself though is beyond question in quality.

My issue is that is still nearly $200 to rent games, none of which I would want enough to pay full price for anyway.

I just don't think digital rental services are the future. The fact Xbox has been plummeting since GamePass launched, I'm not sure how much Microsoft still does either.

Year? Wasn't all that concentrated in like three months?

No my friend, GP subs ate good the whole year.

Just 1 key title out of the dozen or so each month below. Not even including MW3, Diablo IV and the many other day 1 releases.

Palworld in January
Persona 3 Reload in February
MLB The Show in March
Jedi Survivor in April
Hellblade 2 in May
Octopath Travelrer 2 in June
Path of Goddess in July
Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy in August
Age of Mythology in September
Black Ops 6 in October
STALKER 2 in November
Indiana Jones in December

2022 - 2024: Gaming golden age for GP subscribers. 2025 definitely looks to continue the trend. Replaced, Citizen Sleeper 2, Clair Obscura, Doom, Fable, South of Midnight, AtomFall, Sniper Elite, Avowed, Eternal Strands, 33 Immortals, Mixtape, Towerborne, The Alters, Wuchang, and everything else they haven't announced yet.

I'm going to stick my foot out and trip the parade going on in here. but 2024 Gampass is the worst year for games I played on the service since it started.

I too thought it was a pretty good year for GP subscribers but the people that let GP live rent free in their heads wont stay away from this thread

Just waiting for his pathetic laugh emojis that he throws around whenever he fails to offer anything of substance. Which seems to be the case, always.

But, he's okay. At least he's consistent, dependable and predictable.

Delivered so bigly that they've still got you guys working your arses off to try and promote it.

Speaking of dependable and predictable.

Half of these titles were released on the last two months, so NO, it was not a good YEAR, using these examples. That being said, this post just proves that this service is NOT successful. Believe me, if these games attracted more users, MS would be the first to SCREAM it.

Meh. Mine expired in March and I never bothered renewing it. I bought a laptop that came with three free month of ultimate, and I still haven't even bothered renewing it.

Subnautica 2, too.

One can easily go the entire year just with those above mentioned games and GP, and that's not even a full list.

Gamepass changed my life. I became a new man a better man a greater man because of phil spencer and his phenomenal gamepass subscription. When i'm driving down the road after work and some idiot is honking at me i roll down my window and ask him 'Are you trying to get home faster to play gamepass too????'. When a waiter spills a drink on me at a restaurant i tell him 'It's ok man cause i got gamepass in my life'. Gamepass has changed my life entire people and it will change yours too if you open up and embrace phil spencer and his ultimate service to us all!!!!!!!

Unless you have a crippling videogame addiction that makes you tap into literally everything I don't think so.

Its been amazing, bringing our dreams to life with the best deal in gaming and the most powerfull console in the world to power them dreams.
Xbox has won 2024 and 2025 is looking even stronger 🟢💪.

Every time I see these threads this comes to mind:

I'm sorry to say it but there's absolutely minimal (no) cross over in terms of a person who would play Flight Sim, CoD and Age of Mythology.

2 dubs all year around are Pal World and Indy but you should just buy those games if you want them.

It's stale, MS need to get rid.

Gamepass never had the effect they thought it would have going all in and now it's too late to back out of it. All they can do is wave and smile. I love it.

No one would play FS, COD and AoM in your opinion?

Yeah, not even close to a full list. Its ridiculous. GP may not last forever, but all 3 years I've had it, I've played more fantastic games than I ever have. Insane quality of games and value in pricing. Already a few AA games announced as well that are wildcards. Sleight of Hand, Lost in Random 2, Commandos Origins, Descenders 2. Indies, Winter Burrow and Ghostbike. Also FBC Firebreak for multiplayer.

No one criticizing GP has the first clue about 99% of these games. The list is already phenomenal and is probably 30% of what's coming next year.

Sometimes you're right Banjo, this isn't one of those times.
🤷‍♂️ It's just my POV. I think for each Xbox studio to thrive and survive they need to be making money.

Eventually Sauron's baldy head is going to turn fully to Xbox.

When that time comes you want to be a Rare pointing to 10m sales for Sea of Thieves. Not a Tango pointing to 500k sales of Hi-Fi.

I don't want a 'good deal' I want a fair deal where the devs are rewarded accordingly for quality work and I get a good game. Sadly this is all or nothing; everyone else has to pay as well.

So given this many great games are hitting the service and providing value, subscription numbers must be growing right?
