Hobo grandpa got something right for a change.

GOTY....sure, but......well, opinions I guess.

Good to know I'm looking forward to playing it. Elden Ring is really good, but I find it a tad overrated..

Doesn't surprise me. He talked at length about being old enough to really love the Sagan / NASA vibes in Starfield, so I'm sure Indie is a long forgotten favorite IP of his. Its a fantastic game.

I do think that a lot of designers are going to be massively appreciating the game since it breaks a lot of ground on not playing into ludonarrative dissonance. You're an archeologist and adventurer good guy, and you actually play as that in the gameplay the entire time. You're not murdering tons of people and doing Tomb Raider jumps. They cracked the code on making a gameplay loop that really fits the character.

It's a great game, but it's an incredible Indiana Jones story/movie/thing. I suspect most people giving this GOTY are big Indy fans, or at least thrilled that a new Indy entry wasn't dogshit.

I give the game itself like an 8.5/10, though. It was really good.

well, considering he mentions indiana jones and the great circle & elden ring, he obviously loves games that are charming, wholesome fun for the whole family...

Will get it on the pro.

I have good feelings towards this game and will for sure play it.

The previews realy stopped my hype for this but once i saw more gameplay it finally clicked

GOTY? I disagree but whatever.

Best game of all time? Fuck out of here. Equally laughable that he picks Elden Ring. He didn't even bother to finish it.

Guy will say anything for a click

Now he thinks Xbox is stronger than PS.

Hey Jaffe,

But seriously though. Even making fun of these woke white people in the entertainment industry is no longer fun. Now I just pity them their unhinged lunacy and insanity. I do not know if it because I am in the unique position of being mixed race and able to see all the stupidity in several different ways, or of these people really are just that crazy now, or both. Either way, I hope this guy and others like him eventually get the help they so desperately need.

They have 6-7 games coming out next year. The release cadence is coming into place. Quality is also there.

They have Fable and Doom and a bunch of smaller, AA type games. Should be a good year? I dunno what that has to do with the competition though, they also have great stuff. Not sure why Jaffe felt the need to highlight that since he's not dumb as to the expected lineups.

He's just repeating what he's said for years. His theory has been that GP is great but they haven't sold the full potential of the vision yet. The full potential according to Jaffe is frequent releases, and high quality releases. Eventually, it just becomes a bit overwhelming and starts to crowd out other publishers. 2025 is starting to feel a tiny bit like that for fans of GP. When you list it all out, its already immense. If Oblivion remake is real, that's 7 1st party games next year not including Replaced, Citizen Sleeper, Eternal Strands, Mixtape, Clair Obscura, Alters and more. And now we're seeing the quality bar raising as well.

He's not saying they are stronger than PS. He's saying MS is finally hitting their potential just slightly for the 1st time as a publisher.

The GamePass experiment is over. For those that like sub services, it's good for next year, but it's not going to take the industry by storm and gobble up everything else. With the price increases and everything else, it's just a niche service that's on two platforms.

Probably true, but its a hell of a great niche. PS fans can shell out full price for each release if they want to. Doesn't bother me.

true.

I just prefer to pay for my games and not be held hostage to a sub. GamePass runs nearly $200/yr and I would probably only buy around 3 games anyways. better to own it outright imo, also makes me value the games more.

How old is Jaffe to say shit like "cook super hard"?

I'm almost 37 and I don't even say moronic gen Z shit like that. Act somewhat your age bro.
