The Official NeoGAF "Introduce Yourself" Thread

Hi everyone nice to meet you! Frequent visitor of this site for years and have always loved following the gaming posts and seeing all the different takes from a wide variety of people. Been gaming since i was like 4 when my dad got me an n64, and have been big into gaming ever since then. I'm into both retro stuff 'Need to go to more conventions haha' and new things as well and i love discussing essentially anything and hearing other people's opinions.
 
Wassup GAF. its been years. But I guess I'm back after 7 years. Since last I was on GAF, i've gotten engaged / married / had 3 kids / bought a business
Dont have as much time to play games much anymore but I like to keep up with the news. Been lurking but i figure why not say I'm back :)
Where is BishopTL is he still around?
 
Hello I discovered this site in 2018 and finally introducing myself lol. I found out about this site while googling game room ideas and was blown away by some the the setups. I am collector of anything racing game related especially Gran Turismo, I started playing the series back in 98 and have been playing it ever since. The game lead to my love of real car culture and I even started my own small company selling aftermarket car parts. I am currently attending college in Arizona pursing a Business Degree and I would like to study E Sports as-well. I am an auto enthusiast and enjoyed learning how to tune cars over the years. I plan to have my new game garage complete so I can post it in the NeoGaf 2025 Setup.

Hello everyone.
Though I've already introduced myself before I believe, I figured I'd come say hello again! I can't believe it's gonna about 20 years since I've been on this site, back when I was essentially in high school. A friend introduced me to this page ages ago and still coming since. To me, I feel like this page is like a "home" or "base" to me, even if I just lurk around and read.

I enjoy photography, movies, gaming, build pc stuff, traveling, and socializing.
 
Hi! I'm G. I LOVE reading, mostly sci-fi and fantasy but I like all sorts. I adore puzzles, especially crosswords. My big passion is gaming, but I sustained a repetitive strain injury in my wrists 3 years ago and haven't been able to play since (thanks dualsense). Instead I now just read about games, watch gaming news, listen to gaming podcasts, and daydream about the day I can play games once again.

Oops sorry, I guess I meant D!

It's tendinitis, inflammation of the tendons and the tendon sheaths (they have a special name but can't remember it right now). Exacerbated by laptop use, phone use, writing and more, haha it is very inconvenient! Got it to a manageable stage now though thankfully.

Carpal tunnel is more a nerve issue, where your nerve gets constricted inside the carpal tunnel (in the wrist area), and usually results in numbness in the fingers and stuff. It's probably worse than what I have.

I've been quite familiar with this wonderful site for many years now but have always kind of shied away from signing in. So here goes - At last. I'm a senior gamer now, and have been so for more than 25 years, starting my button-mashing journey on SEGA's Saturn, in 1997, with Alien Trilogy and Exhumed (PowerSlave). From then on, I have stuck with PlayStation 1 to 5. I don't play that much anymore as my eyes are pretty shot, but I still value game key art and concept artworks. I'm happy this thread is still more or less breathing, and I hope all contributors to these pages are OK and in good health in this crazy world we live in. I'm 19 and a University student studying Business.
Favorite games include Crusader Kings 2/3, Kingdome Come Deliverance 2, Dark and Darker and the Mount and Blade games.
I like geopolitics, history, literature and geography.
I am currently reading Don Quixote and the history of England by Macaulay.

Other than that, I mostly enjoy single player games on PlayStation, as well as digital board games with friends/family on my Linux PC.

My account got approved six months ago although I didn't post until now, but I have been lurking and enjoying this community much more than other gaming communities.

As you can already tell from my DP, Witcher 3 is my all-time favourite game and The Witcher being my most treasured franchise.

About the game: Hollywood Animal is a satirical sim set in the 20th century. In it, you will run a movie studio, manage your business, make tough choices, and deal with dark deeds. The game will be release on Steam EA on April 10th already.
Developers are Weappy Studio. You might know us for This Is the Police and Rebel Cops.


About me(if needed): I'm 30 years old, have played PC games since childhood, and love strategy games. I sometimes play on PS and more frequently on Switch.
 
Hey, I've lurked this forum since maybe around 2012. Watched the whole situation that led to another forum being born from a lot of former users here. I have been really impressed by how this forum survived that user exodus and became a less divisive community that provides an old-fashioned forum experience for discussing video games and other entertainment. Thanks for accepting my account.
