I actually didn't attempt to buy anything... just noticed everything is loading, including the prices. I was mostly joking really. I don't know how any of this shit works. Might as well be magic.
 
Unacceptable from Sony. You'd think with them constantly increasing the price they'd hire some more network engineers to prevent stuff like this from happening.
 
I just put my daughter to sleep and wanted to play Rebirth, but some license stuff warning says I can't play, I guess that's because I gave my OG PS5 to my eldest (with my account on it) when I got the Pro.
 
I can't even set my console as primary to play single player cause account management is down. So annoying.

What's the consensus? I can't imagine they'd actually do routine management on Friday night. Hacked or something otherwise catastrophic is my guess, with hacked being first guess.

That's what I was thinking, too. Especially on one of the most popular days of the week for gaming. I have a nasty feeling that they've been hacked. I've already locked down my card until this situation is over so I can delete my payment method.
 
I just turned on my console and was told to update. I did and everything seems okay. I can access the store, see which friends are online, etc. I can't speak to online game functionality, though. However, before updating, I was completely offline.
 
Is it back again? Just turned my PS5 on after a week and it's updating games, i can access PS store and just started Rebirth even though my PS5 isn't with my main account.
 
Still down for me. This has to be bad. The money they and their partners are losing by being down on a Friday night has to be a shit ton of lost money. Unless they have insurance to cover this I guess

Why does the PS5 give a "PSN is down" popup in the middle of the screen when I try to use a video streaming app like Netflix? Netflix itself loads properlyc but it's unusable because the PS5 has to tell me ever half second that PSN is down while I'm in an app. This is asshole design.
 
This is obviously Hulst. He pulled the plug on the way out... "don't want live service; how about no service "

Feels like a Cyber event to me or layoffs gone wrong. I've been working in this field for 20 years. Something is obviously fucking very wrong right now.

BTW Capcom must be pissed, the beta is this weekend.

I'm getting a DNS error but some traffic. Very slow.

This sucks…Friday night free and can't play shit. Guess I'll just watch CohhCarnage play KDC2 instead. At least this ad keeps popping up every time I check Gaf…
