you can 100% customize your face, I might just be misremembering when you can do this

I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch. all sorts of stuff changes your appearance in this game. melee makes you look strong, you can get wings, there's also scars, barbers, etc.

I get that. This game is basically a parody of games like it though, hence the convoluted systems

people seem to imply that everyone's character will have the same face.

if this is anything like any other Fable title, your characters face will change a lot depending on what you decide to do. and you control all that.

btw, the biggest issue with people in this thread seems to be that the character is a woman, and gender was previously an option, so I would imagine that should make people happy

I wouldn't bet on it. Western games nowadays are actually regressing. They don't even seem to be implementing a basic good or evil system.

Think they kinda fixed the character the best they could, here she's not a 10/10 beauty but not reveal trailer fugly bish either (was it the reveal trailer? can't remember), so that in itself is an improvement

All the other ones do let you choose between a man and a woman though. I don't think there was ever a character creator. You can just change their clothing. And in the original, your actions changed the characters appearance.

I'd at least rather they have an option to play as either a man or woman, you know like Mass Effect did.

But of course they are going to force us to play as a woman in a Medieval Fantasy RPG because reasons. Then again maybe they just aren't skilled enough to create that kind of game that Bioware created a decade ago and so it was just a "Creative Choice" in this case.

There's a huge focus on modern cinematics and it's a lot of work to try and get a male/female role to work

If the morale and weight systems are out ill be so disappointed.

I remember when I was playing Fable 2 and there was no Hulk spell I was so sad.
Dont remove features I, me personally, I like.

My second Fable playthrough I went evil purely because I wanted to be Hulking out all the time.

Biggest issue is she isn't attractive at all. I mean.....you wouldn't want my face forced on your game character either. I think folks would be fine if they could either customize their character or choose from some other presets as well as being able to choose a male character. If we have to play as that character and only that character then that will be disappointing.

And Fable is litterally one of the last IPs that need to focus on hyper realism/cinematics given its Fantasy based theme.

Yes, I completed Fable 2 fully. The characters you played as in Fable 2 were not "hideous" at all. Why are you showing me a picture of an NPC? NPCs are not what anyone is referring to.

You can absolutely customize your character in ways you said weren't possible though - I'm sorry if that bothers you?

I do admit the protagonist is more attractive than I remember so thank you Topher for highlighting that. doesn't change that 99.9% of characters in the game are hideous by design

You can't I bet. They want you to spend your time with the character they mo-capped. No way they are letting you have a choice. Fable never had character customization from creation.

They also may be spiteful to be political. It wouldn't surprise me at all. "we have to own the chuds, reee." you know how they talk on reddit and elsewhere.
