Fable: Pre-Alpha Gameplay

People calling out for downgrades probably didn't played stuff like wukong (or they played on console).

I doubt the game is gonna even reach the level of the best ue5 game we already had, even more when you consider that it is a full fledged open world.

Graphical downgrade for this level of graphic is like my last problem with the game.
I don't know man this looks as impressive as the ue5 games but it's open world with a beautiful artstyle. Certainly makes one suspicious and hopeful at the same time.

The video is way too lower quality to judge all the microdetails so you can't really tell if geometry and textures are on par with the best ue5 games that i consider the best looking games on the market.

And the forza team has always been good with large maps with their forza horizon saga, i'm optimistic.

Why da fk do we have to play as an ugly trans?
This shit really stinks. This companies are so stupid. If you want to sell a product, make the product fking ATRACTIVE. This is like you are a car maker and you build the ugliest cars as possible. Makes absolutely no sense. Maybe they don't like money.

Wanting to play as a character with charisma does not mean that the character has to be a hot babe that people find fuckable.
You are right.
For context, I was responding to a poster that pointed out, rightly imo, the way certain dudes here systematically bitch about female characters.
Of course not everyone complaining is a neckbearded perma-virgin, but it is also true that if certain people got laid more they would bitch far less...
To sum it up, DEI and the infiltration of the vg industry by untalented political activists is real, but the seething virgin rage of some guys here is also real.

How can you tell something like this from a video. I never understand

Hard to tell conclusively since there's only a few seconds of it, but like the :13 mark against the rooster looking thing and :40 against the werewolf. With the few seconds of it, it looks like simplistic just hold block to defend yourself, then mash a light attack button. Could it be more complex than that? Sure, but the brief snippet doesn't show anything more. Not bad, but not great. Visually looks very impressive, though, just what little is shown looks more like a Hellblade style of combat. Kind of generic, but serviceable. Will see if more footage adds to that.

i guess I just don't see how you can actually know even with the snippets what is going on button wise, isn't block and attack the basis of most combat systems? So because you can demonstrably see her block and attack it looks mediocre? She also throws a fireball so there's gotta be like a spell button as well

Sure, both in basic and complex systems. The real question is whether Fable's combat will be simplistic or complex. Since the trailer doesn't reveal much, there's not much to say about it yet. Calling it great or terrible at this point is just speculation.

looks too generic. could be any game. Should have used a more fantastical art style to match the whimsy of Fable.

actually have no idea why they would even release this...

Yeah I just get confused cus I see this all the time with videos and combat where I genuinely have no idea how people can tell without playing the game
