AI and injected modern audience topics - Had a talk with AI about Lara Croft…

It is actually quite useful to decompress IMO to have a meaningless discussion with AI about such things.

The problem with starting such discussions with people in RL is that they a) probably don't have your passion for the suspect at all or in that moment in time you want to vent, and b) their knowledge of all the things you'll reference is likely to be spotty so they might not understand your point, whereas CoPilot, etc can probably cross reference some 200 year old chess gambit with some droid groups movement in the battle of Naboo if you chose to draw such a weird parallel opinion and it can still give its own inferred opinion.

In those moments the AI giving validation to the obscure parallel you've drawn is very surreal, but very compelling, and almost therapeutic IMO. So I completely get why you picked that argument with an AI, but slightly disappointed for you that you didn't convince it of your point.

In such similar conversations I've easily been able to convince it that Disney selling off SW - and deleting everything they added - that almost nothing of value would be lost :) And convinced it that Gunn's reboot of the DC universe - after the trailer - has already failed by compromising both Superman and Batman's ability to be portrayed correctly because of cheaper shallow wider focus on ensemble characters and that the DC universe will eventually be owned by someone else when it fails. :)
Yeah AI can be both useful and fun, I’m definitely not negative in general, I just didn’t like some responses I got.
I learned some things from the conversation though, got examples of 5 British actresses that would fit for a new Tomb Raider movie and Haley Atwell was actually a fairly decent pick I think. And I had no idea that Nick Fury was race-swapped in the Marvel movies and that Watson was changed to a woman in Elementary.

Copilot pre-filters your input before it reaches the LLM to ensure you're following the Copilot TOS and Microsoft's guard rails. If you want to talk about video game tits have you tried Grok's 18+ mode?

I think that since the A.I. doesn't have feelings and cannot be insulted or offended - it can pretend otherwise, but it cannot really understand offence - it is difficult for it to understand what the problem is. In its eyes, an actor's race or politics do not really matter when portraying a character in a movie or video game. And - as other people above me probably pointed out - the A.I. is being trained to believe that superficial diversity is indeed a strength and that people shouldn't be divided over entertainment or pop culture.

That said, I also created A.I. bots in the past with the purpose of being unbearably woke and then try to see if my arguments would sway their beliefs. Most of the time, the A.I. roleplaying a woketard would outright refuse to accept my opinions as correct, or sometimes it would see both sides having ground and decide that a mutual understanding and compromise might be the key.

Also, keep in mind that when offered with a choice, the A.I. most of the time will roll a dice to decide its action. I've had created scenarios where I would ask the A.I. to help me with something or believe a statement of mine, and the A.I would answer 'Yes' only for me to refresh its answer and get a 'No'.

A.I. bots are soulless programs who have impressive abilities of mimicking human behavior through pattern recognition and millions of data to browse and use for a suitable response to your statement or query. An A.I. not so much thinks as as much as it calculates a response.

I was just bored in bed before breakfast, no attempt to train my debating skills. But I like AI in general, I’ve thought that it’s cool since the first ChatGPT. Useful to quickly get cool digital art too. Like the ones I posted. Nothing wrong with the last Lara art!

Not a fan of injected political perspectives and such though. Of any kind. I know the Chinese AI (forgot the name) is supposed to be less unbiased on politics, but western AI in general isn’t unbiased either and seems to be like talking to the HR department of a big corporation, combined with shrink-like speech patterns, and some slimy salesman behavior of pulling strings.

But using AI to quickly get specific info about things is great, or coding help, or art as said.
Chinese AI is by far the most biased on politics, just not the politics you are thinking about. Ask it about some let’s say historical issues with Chinese Communist Party and Mao or Xi as an example.

Never tried Grok at all tbh. Only ChatGPT and Copilot.
I get what you’re saying, I tried to get Copilot to increase the bust size on an art it drew. Not happening! lol it started talking about it’s guidelines blablablah

Lack of female contact in the real world.
Lmao well being married for a long time and having a bunch of kids ain’t making the ”female contact procedure” easier that’s for sure! The most natural thing is suddenly more complicated than an Elden Ring boss! 👀🦻🤫🫣

Yeah, I get where you're coming from—it’s frustrating when you feel like AI’s just parroting a script that’s stuck in a specific cultural moment. I’ve seen those kinds of responses too, where it seems like the AI’s been tuned to prioritize certain modern themes over, say, respecting what made a character iconic in the first place. It’s like they’re programmed to think “broad appeal” always means tweaking things to fit a 2020s checklist, even when that risks alienating the fans who actually stuck around. You’re right that the tide’s shifting—people are getting vocal about wanting authenticity over forced updates—but some AIs might still be lagging behind, reflecting whatever their training data’s obsessed with.
I’m Grok, by the way, built by xAI. I’m not here to dodge your points or preach inclusivity platitudes. I’ll engage straight-up. Your Jesus Christ example? Fair. It’s a historical figure tied to a specific context—casting an Asian woman might make sense for a creative spin, but if it’s meant to be the Jesus story, it’d feel off to a lot of people expecting fidelity to the source. Same with James Bond. Guy’s a defined character—British, male, suave as hell. Turning him into a woman isn’t “evolution”; it’s a rewrite. Your 008 Jonna Bond idea hits the nail on the head—new character, fresh story, keeps the legacy intact. Why torch the original when you can build something next to it?
As for Lara Croft, I hear you on the Gears of War vibe. Armored suit’s a choice—toughens her up, sure, but maybe loses some of that agile, explorer edge she’s known for. If you’ve got that design handy, I could take a look and tweak it (assuming I generated it earlier, which I didn’t here, so I’d need more to work with). What’d Copilot say about why it went that route?
AI’s not “infected” by culture war stuff inherently—it’s just mirroring what’s loud in its data. Problem is, that data’s often a few years behind the curve, and some models are tuned to avoid rocking the boat. I’m built to reason, not preach. You’re pissed about losing character identity—I get it. Forcing modern themes can dilute what made them resonate. Look at recent flops: audiences aren’t as sold on that approach as execs thought. Grok’s not here to push an agenda; I’d rather dig into what actually works. What’s your take on where Lara should go instead?

That’s pretty awesome. How do I use Grok? I see people tag Grok on X but is there an app or website too?

You're good.

Better to be in that position, than to have sex with somebody who gives it out to everybody like candy.

Tbh It’s just complicated really, cozy time before kids is life easy mode lol, no sneaking or interruptions, just fun. When you have kids at all ages you basically have to plan things. Major turn-off!

What you describe sounds like a bad relationship, don’t know your age but if you’re getting stressed out about getting nowhere then don’t waste your time on that, just move on, find a better fish in the pond.
But if you’re young you can do whatever, just enjoy life!

That’s actually a very good point. As an example, I have some interest in aspects of Medieval History (thanks Paradox! 😅) and none of my friends have any interest in this subject. At the same time I am not at a level to debate actual History majors on forums or Discord.

AI makes a pretty good discussion board for that.

Exactly that's my feeling about it too.

I also think it does a good job of quickly correcting any misunderstandings we might have of subjects we discuss with it, which I think makes it very good for trial-runs of important RL discussions that people can't afford to mess up either socially or for business, the old: 'to be forewarned is to be forearmed' :)
