4News.it - Vincenzo D'Alcantara - Italian - 8.3 / 10
AI LIMIT convinced us. Despite some flaws, primarily the management of connections between the game's macro-areas and the repetition of some enemies, it remains a solid and truly interesting production. With a well-executed combat system, a well-balanced progression, and spectacular bosses, the title will manage to entertain and engage all gamers. Even those who are not regular players of soulslike games, thanks to an initial impact that's softer than usual.

8Bit/Digi - Stan Rezaee - 9 / 10
AI Limit delivers a classic Soulslike experience set in a familiar world that is rich in its own deep lore. Players awaken in a familiar world while details about the story are slowly fed.

AltChar - Asmir Kovacevic - 87 / 100
If you're a fan of Souls-like games and craving that unique experience, look no further—AI Limit is exactly what you’ve been searching for. Packed with all the familiar Souls mechanics and a few additional twists, it will more than satisfy your craving for challenging gameplay.

Console Creatures - Bobby Pashalidis - 6 / 10
AI Limit is a fine experience but is plagued by technical issues that actively work against you. The combat is solid, but some mechanics are so overpowered that they eclipse everything in your arsenal.

Console-Tribe - Simone Cantini - Italian - 80 / 100
If I had judged solely based on the demo, I would have regrettably overlooked a well-crafted and enjoyable game like AI Limit. The developers at SenseGames demonstrated their attentiveness to player feedback, delivering an intriguing soulslike experience with its own identity. The game features a well-designed and entertaining combat system, paired with a unique and inspired setting. While the technical aspects fall somewhat short, the gameplay progression is balanced and captivating. For those who tried the demo, forget your impressions and give the game a shot—you might be pleasantly surprised, as I was.

The developers really tried with an exceptionally difficult genre. AI Limit won’t be remembered alongside FromSoftware or Koei Tecmo’s work in the genre, but it’s also by no means a poor effort. It’s like the work that a student who really understands the source material produces. It might only be a shade of the master’s work, but you can’t help but hope they get another swing at it, because they’re on the cusp of breaking out and carving out something brilliant with its own identity.

DualShockers - Ethan Krieger - 8 / 10
AI Limit is a blast to play, and is worth checking out for fans of the Soulslike genre, especially at the low cost of admission. It doesn't necessarily reinvent the wheel, but there's enough remix to the formula here to keep the game feeling fresh and exciting as you explore its excellent post-apocalyptic world.

GAMES.CH - Sven Raabe - German - 72%
Thanks to its tactical combat system, challenging boss battles, and mysterious game world, fans of challenging action RPGs in particular can still take a closer look at Arrisa's adventures with a clear conscience.

Game Rant - Josh Cotts - 8 / 10
AI Limit blends anime flair with Soulslike depth, offering immersive worldbuilding, smart combat, and a fresh take on challenge and accessibility.

GameGrin - Joshua Render - 8 / 10
AI LIMIT is well-designed and has interesting lore and characters. However, the slow beginning and bland early levels take away from the experience.

Gameliner - Claudia Tjia - Dutch - 2.5 / 5
AI Limit has interesting mechanics and cool enemy designs but suffers from an unengaging story, unfair difficulty, cheap level design, and technical issues, making it worth a try only at a discount for hardcore Soulslike fans.

Gamersky - Chinese - 7.5 / 10
AI Limit is a game best suited for dedicated Souls-like enthusiasts. It delivers a strong sense of exploration, offering fresh ideas and clever nods to classic genre staples, even for those well-versed in similar titles.

Hinsusta - Kevin Keller - German - 9 / 10
With AI Limit, we get an excellent soul game whose world immediately captivates us. The game is a real hidden gem that will delight you with its unique anime atmosphere.

IGN - Travis Northup - 5 / 10
AI Limit is a soulslike without any soul, offering a few interesting but unimpactful new ideas and a whole lot of bugs across its entirely unremarkable adventure.

Loot Level Chill - Mick Fraser - 7.5 / 10
AI Limit is a fun game when you're not tangling with the camera. The combat is slick and fast, but it can't quite stand alongside the best in the genre.

Manual dos Games - Luiz Henrique Silva - Portuguese - 8 / 10
Despite some issues, AI Limit manages to introduce fun new mechanics to a genre that is bordering on fatigue, offering frantic combat, responsive gameplay, an interesting universe, and a good narrative, making it a solid choice for players looking for a 'soulslike' that’s a bit out of the ordinary.

PSX Brasil - Bruno Ribeiro - Portuguese - 85 / 100
AI LIMIT shines in its world design, dark setting, and strategic combat, offering a worthy challenge for fans of the soulslike genre. However, its high difficulty (and consequently recurring deaths) can be frustrating for some players. Issues such as translation errors and bugs also prevent a more refined experience. Still, for those looking for a challenging and engaging RPG, AI LIMIT delivers a rewarding experience.

Pizza Fria - Filipe Villela Barroso - Portuguese - 8 / 10
If you're looking for a good action-adventure game with RPG elements, high difficulty and a protagonist with several customization options, AI LIMIT is definitely worth a try.

Pro Game Guides - Aleksa Stojković - 4.5 / 5
AI Limit review is a Soulslike anime meets dark futuristic fantasy banger with a massive and beautiful world to explore and almost infinite replayability for anyone who likes a challenge.

RPG Fan - Dom Kim - 80 / 100
Despite fun new additions to the formula, AI LIMIT can't cross the finish line without stumbling along the way.

RPGamer - Ezra Kinnell - 3.5 / 5
AI LIMIT doesn’t quite reach the same heights as its inspirations and is held back by some notable technical issues. However, some small but key innovations in the combat system and an enthralling setting more than make up for the game’s shortcomings to make the game an enjoyable and worthwhile experience overall.

Rectify Gaming - Will "FncWill" Hogeweide - 9.5 / 10
AI Limit stands out as a remarkable entry in the action RPG genre, seamlessly blending engaging combat, a hauntingly beautiful world, and a narrative that invites introspection. Its thoughtful design and attention to detail create an experience that resonates with players long after the journey concludes. Fans of challenging yet rewarding gameplay, as well as those who appreciate rich world-building, will find much to admire in AI Limit.

The Games Machine - Marco Bortoluzzi - Italian - 7 / 10
Are you desperately looking for a new soulslike to play, and you also like anime girls that fight in high heels and dress like they're going to a cosplay show, and also don't mind a graphic style straight out of 2014? Well then I guess AI Limit isn't the worst choice you could make, as it does offer a fairly smooth experience, but it's also not going to be a great one.

Seems a bit derivative. At least the price is pretty good and there is a demo to try it out.

I had this in my wishlist but I don't think I'll get it.

Every gameplay video I've seen for this looks like they put anime chicks into whatever environment that was on sale at the asset store when you filter by the color grey.
pretty decent quality anime chicks though, tbf. i mean it's AA, you gotta make choices.

do not tempt fate do not contrain Wonder Woman's thighs do not do not
This is part of the China Hero Project yeah?
Sony should have poured a little more resources into it.
Doesnt look finished, legit looks like this is the pitch for a game they are gonna make not the actual final product.

And here I was, thinking that Khazan looked/is derivative, welp, this one looks friggin' soulless, not only that but the combat looks like it lacks any kind of impact.

This seems to exist solely for the animU waifu crowd.

Looks absolutely bland, soulless and generic, a bad clone of Code vein (which I also found generic and super mediocre).

Khazan looks like a GOTY next to it ffs.

Final score : Fuck this shit/10

I played the demo awhile back

The anime girl is cute, it seems like a Soulslike with a Nier Automata theme, and I remember it being pretty hard as Soulslikes difficulty levels go

If you love Soulslikes and your entire life revolves around Soulslikes and you live for more Soulslikes, it seems pretty decent as Chinese Soulslike clones go

I remember it running well on my PC for what that's worth

And considering that, for now at least, I recommend people check out Code Vein instead (if they haven't played it), over this game.

Ai Limit needs more updates and patches based on everything I'm hearing and reading.

I want a Code Vein successor, but I want it to be good rather than just okay.

Just looked through the Steam reviews and they're indeed glowing.

I think I might import a copy of the game once I place my next order from play-asia.

Edit: Here are some gifs I've found on Steam.

I've tried it after Scarlet Nexus and it looked 2 steps behind to me imho unfortunately, it's not bad but I can't look back especially with these types of games.

Edit: I’m an idiot… turning on vsync fixed the performance issue. I thought I did… so dumb.

I found the demo very difficult. The character is slow, for no particular reason.

This borrows a lot from Blame! and at a reduced price it looked like a safe buy. Performance wasn't good on PS5. I'll wait. Khazan looks like the better game, though I wasnt interested at first.

I actually like this game. Once you unlock some abilities, it doesn't feel quite as slow / clunky. Definitely a AA game, but it's pretty fun. Surprisingly good voice acting too. Story is usual anime type stuff, but not overly in your face... I'm not skipping it yet.
