I'm going to miss Eternal's pace, but still very excited to play this. Day 1 for sure.

I just wanna see how it feels without a jump. If it's moving in an FPS bullet hell sort of thing, I think I could be on board with that.

I'm looking forward to it, but the gameplay they've shown so far looks really slow and boring. Can a high-level player do a demo and show what it looks like at full tilt, or is that it?

Given the game's predecessor, I think they've more than earnt some optimism, but I am half expecting to find this dull. Good on them for not just repeating a formula, though. I think we'd have a better gaming landscape if there were fewer games that were practically identical to every other entry in a series or genre.

I cant wait to play this game man, I loved Doom Eternal. The soundtrack has become part of me when I go to the gym, it really pushes me when lifting

Will be my 1st Doom game. Looking forward to it.

Ultra fast FPS are obviously best on PC, so the things people are critical of are the things making me interested as a console player. Slower speed, weight, blocks and melee.

Definitely give the other games a go when you can. They are all mechanically different in ways so each game is pretty fresh. Eternal is easily one of the best FPS games ever in my opinion. Absolute fucking chaos and a shit load of gore.

If I ever get free time, I'll play those and the Wolfenstein games. I actually got Doom on Switch just to play it with the gyro, but haven't gotten to it.

Doom games are well optimised for gamepad. You get the doom experience.

Just don't go on selecting Ultra nightmare difficulty in Doom Eternal and you will be fine.

I'll try it one of these days, but I am a Splatoon player so the idea of playing a fast FPS with just dual sticks and no gyro is not very appealing. I'll try it though. I'm big into metal so the reboot has been on my radar since it first came out. Seeing Meshuggah live this week actually. :messenger_horns:

Check out Brutal Doom 64 and Brutal Doom: Extermination day mods on PC

I hope they finally make a new Quake game after this.

I always wonder when people say this, what exactly they think such a new Quake game would be like.

because modern Doom is a direct evolution of Quake 2, just like Quake 1 was an evolution of Doom

Will this be actual honest impressions from random people, or handpicked glowing impressions that literally mean nothing and do nothing but glaze the game and developer?

Still on the fence on this one. Waiting to see impressions and reviews. What little I played recently of the doom series was okay but not amazing
I'm with you on this one. Doom 2016 was amazing and Doom Eternal went and washed all that away. This one doesn't make me think "Doom" in the slightest and I just can't muster up any excitement for it.
