if it is teh case then i think this will be an even smaller more experimental game than people think.
FromSoft don't need exclusive money anymore, they will sell truckloads on all platforms.

I'm waiting until we hear more for final judgment, but I don't like how Nightreign this looks. If it can be played solo and gives a classic soulsborne experience, I'm in. Regardless of the rest of this product, it looks like good news for Bloodborne lore.

We still don't know exact detail but even Nightreign you can play it solo but I don't think Duskbloods has battle royal mechanics like Nightreign has.

I mean Monster Hunter games also considered "multiplayer" games as well but you can play the entire game solo and offline……but we will see.

I thought about that too. Maybe it's the nature of the console? Trying to appeal to all the families after showing horror based content?
Or maybe I'm coping. I'm assuming the worst for now.

I'm hoping that if it does eventually launch elsewhere, the visuals are improved. Art style is cool, but fidelity wise it looks worse than From's more recent launches. In that trailer, at least.

Miyazaki wasted so much time on this. Dude I never play multiplayer in thier games. The only good part about it is when they add to the single player experiance like notes, invasions or bloodstains.

Sounds awesome. This may be the best Soulslike ever made.
Seems weird for From to have their best selling game ever. A huge profitable hit that made many times its budget. And then only to pivot to multiplayer slop. I understand Nightrein was a side project reusing assets but this looks like another attempt at trying a semi-GAAS multiplayer game.
I don't care about the Switch exclusivity, but I do hope these projects fall so From goes back to making the games I like.

It' just personal preference as I don't jive with the idea of a multiplayer first From game, and to me Miyazaki is the driving force of these games, so I'd rather have him direct his focus to singleplayer experiences. Of course he can do whatever he wants, but I'm not a fan of the idea. Making it exclusive to a console makes it even less likely that I will play it too since I'm not about to head out and buy a whole system for 1 game. These 2 arguments combined made me lose my interest pretty quickly tbh.

Fair enough. I'm not opposed to multiplayer games, so long as they're good and enjoyable to play with friends. But I definitely share your disappointment, it isn't what we've come to expect from Miyazaki and From, I guess it seems like this is the new direction they're taking.

An actual exclusive single player Souls game would have been absolutely huge and basically cemented the system as worthwhile for a large group of players. FromSoft's MP games are an unknown quantity right now, so (for now) I see this as little more than a fun novelty.
