As far as I know Sony only bought 10% of FROMs parrent companty.
Doesn't mean they have exclusive publishing rights.

Also the deal for this would have probably been made before Sony made the purchase

Graphically looks good, especially for a tablet, but some of the animations seemed a bit strange like they were missing animations or frames or something. Obviously won't be playing it myself as it's Switch exclusive, but might watch a playthrough of it if it's worth the time.

Also, is it confirmed multiplayer only? Or is like all the other games with the option to play offline? That would worry me given how far behind Nintendo have been with online services.

Well, honest truth is it looks all over the place visually, which is unusual for a FROM game as they are usually very coherent stylistically.
It looks as much of a grab-bag of recycled stuff as Nightreign too.

It's strictly multiplayer. Not multiplayer being optional like in Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring, which were primarly Single Player.
