Duskbloods will be the first From Soft Souls-like game that will not appear on PlayStation system
Demon's Souls on PS3 is what started the Souls-like genre (or some may say even Kings Field on PS1). And since then, every single From Soft Souls-like games were published on PlayStation system

Welp, there is the reason to get switch 2. Not because I want to play another Breathe of the Mild. Not because of pokemon or mario. But because Miyazaki decided to put Bloodborne successor on nintendo of all consoles.

I'm waiting for the sony fanboys to explain to us all that the reason From isn't making a Bloodborne remaster or sequel is because of their busy schedule...yes their busy schedule making Bloodborne inspired games with the competition. Just take the L and admit Sony has handled the Bloodborne IP in the worst possible way. The same ignorance and incompetence they did with Demon's Souls that prompted From to make Dark Souls with Bandai instead.
EDIT: At this point there's gotta be something going on between these two companies not seeing eye to eye,schreier could actually do some work and ask both Sony and From why the hell nothing has been done with that IP. Cuz there's no way From just went to the competition to create a multiplayer version of something almost 1 to 1 in Bloodborne's spirit and not go to Sony first.

Only way I'd play is if the PvP elements are invasions and the Multiplayer element is an optional seamless co-op experience. Will need more info on April 4th to make a judgment. Anytime I see the likes of anything similar to PvPvE/Escape from Tarkov/Extraction Shooter...it's always a bad sign.

Stop it with nightreign comparison guys. Nothing shown so far is anything remotely like Nightreign. It has multiplayer. There's many ways to do that. PC coop mods for souls game is effectively also multiplayer. From software could be exploring this.

Nintendo exclusivity may just be a consequence of the way the marketplace is going in Japan. Its going to be interesting to see where other third parties are laying their eggs, and other major publishers also choose Nintendo over Sony, with the Switch 2.

If Duskblood has a similar game design to Escape from Tarkov, then you'll get dropped into an instance, fight bosses and other enemies in the world, loot and survive the encounters. You'll occasionally run into other players making each run much harder as you fight to survive against everything trying to kill you. Once you've looted enough from your battles or are ready to get out of the instance, you'll need to find an extraction point to get out alive. If you die, you lose everything, if you get out with your loot, you can stash it or gear up with it as you prepare for the next instance.
Nightreign is leans more into the battle royale multiplayer design, with closing zones and character classes in a team of 3. Resources and buffs looted/gained in each session is limited to that session.
I think both could be fun but I'm definitely digging world and character designs of Duskblood way more.

Had to marinate on this trailer for a bit. At first I was very pissed off that Nintendo is getting an exclusive FROM game that in ways looks/feels like a spiritual successor to one of my alltime favourite games.
That said, a lot of the actual footage looks absolutely terrible. The art design is there, as always, but man this shit looks rough. And remarkably goofy at times? Not sure if this was Nintendo-mandated. And yeah, there are definitely assets from other FROM games lifted into this one.
Plus they keep specifically saying that this is a multiplayer game which is just utterly weird and not what I want from a FROM game.
It is 100% not something that makes me want to buy a Switch 2, but at least we'll get a new FROM soundtrack and that is always something to look forward to.
