This represents the current love-hate relationship at Nintendo.

Just looking at this image is the most controversial photograph of Nintendo and the video game industry.

I heard yesterday that some countries in Europe charge 10$ extra for physical copies but I don't think this applies to everywhere so maybe the whole world is getting angry on unfounded affirmations?

Please someone correct me.

Sorry. I wanted to vent my anger more about the fact that the cartridges come incomplete or that you have to download the Metroid update separately.

The price they are asking is too much. It's amusing that with the bundle you can get MKW for $50 and just buying it bare minimum will be $80.

It's bullshit that the Switch 2 Edition games are just Switch 1 carts with a code to download the update, yes, but the game pictured (Donkey Kong Bananza) comes complete on the game card, I believe.

What's up homie it's Tony, if you're in Europe and want to save up a few money on Switch 2 games buy them on Amazon.fr (they are 10€ cheaper than the listing price)

In what reality you people lived before, if the fact that nintendo is by far the greediest company in the industry is some kind of revelation for you?

Still better than just an empty box with a download code inside, like have existed on all three manufacturers' consoles for years by the way. At least game-key cards can be shared or re-sold.

Not like I'll ever buy a game that comes on one of those if I can avoid it though.

I'm much more hyped for the Switch 2 than I am the Switch 1. If I remember right, the early days of Switch 1, in terms of first party were all about BOTW, MK8 Deluxe, Xenoblade 2 and I think Mario Odyssey was released within the first 6 months? Open world Zelda (at least in the style of BOTW) just isn't my preference for Zelda and I liked the other 3D Marios more than odyssey, so I really didn't love the early era Switch feel. I'm much more excited by Mario Kart World and DK Bananza. I missed out on Kirby and the Forgotten Land so the Switch 2 version with additional content is another thing I'm looking forward to. I can't wait to see what the Star Fox Switch 2 game will look like. I honestly am much more excited about the 1st year of Switch 2 games than I was for the 1st year of Switch 1 games.

Really depends though. The "Switch 2 edition" games will just be the originals with a download code.
