The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, featuring 4608 CUDA cores and a TDP of 180W, will be available in two memory configurations. Both the 16GB and 8GB GDDR7 versions will use a 128-bit memory bus, offering the same memory bandwidth of 448 GB/s. The 16GB model will retail at $429, which is $70 less than the previous generation. The 8GB version will launch at $379, priced $30 lower than its predecessor.

The standard RTX 5060 is the only model in this lineup to maintain the same MSRP as its RTX 40-series counterpart. It will be priced at $299 and is confirmed to launch next month.

The 5060ti 16GB seems ok. Based on the specs it should be around a 6800 in raster performance. They should have just scrapped the 8GB cards.

That 5060 for actual 300usd would be decent buy if that 300 would be actual streetprice and it had double vram amount, so 16gigs(or at least 12 but we know its either 8 or 16 so gotta be 16).
With those specs/prices all those cards look DOA even at msrp, actual streetprice likely gonna be worse, even for basic cooling models.
Worst buy is obviously 8gigs 5060ti for almost 400usd msrp, likely over 400 streetprice, thats big no go zone for any gpu owner who plays new games.

Now almost 2years after nvidia giving us proposition with same vram, lower performance and fake frames that are useless for low end products likely at similar streetprice( lets hope 430$ msrp holds but gotta be realistic here, likely we gonna get around 500$streetprice).
Artifical scrarcity of gpu's is terrible not only for highend gpu market but now it spread to mid/low end too already.

Not defending Nvidia, but that AMD card doesn't support AI upscaling (FSR4), that's a huge disadvantage compared to RTX cards
 
RTX 5060TI 16GB at 430 dollars is alright, not really a good deal but at least better than the usual insane price to performance ratio they usually put out. Basically still a rip off but not as bad as their bigger rip offs. It's going to be my next GPU is my brand new PC once my current 8 Year+ PC with my gtx 1070 dies which can happen anyday now or when Elder Scrolls VI comes, whichever happens first. Who knows, the RTX 6060 TI 16GB might be out by then.

This is all assuming the 5060ti 16gb would even stick with the 430 price tag cause of the stupid tariff and other shits happening cause even the 4060 ti 16gb is being sold at least 200 dollars higher than the 430 price tag that it was around a year ago.

Wow and that's a Overclocked one too and in medium, that's pathetic, at over 400 dollars and in 2025, it should be able to do better than that in 1080P even without OCing it for even newer games than Cyberpunk 2077. We're not trying to max 4K with some crazy expensive 1000 dollar cards, we're only in 1080P.

It supports fsr3 and on lower resolutions, aka 1080p( card should last 4-5 years so by then that lvl of performance will be for 1080p), u dont really wanna use upscaling anyways xD

Thats how games look/run on it, current demanding AAA games including wukong:
 
5060 16GB at that price isn't truly exciting but at least it's a viable option.

Of course the 8GB is for people who don't know better. I'm not a CEO because I would have tried to make cards using two 8GB and then sleep at night.

There's a huge gap between FS3 and DLSS trasnformer model, but yeah, it's absolutely a good card besides that

Thats what im saying, just play less demanding game on 1440p native, and super demanding current/future ones at native 1080p, 0 need for ai upscaling there and card is powerful enough to last u 4-5years, got enough vram too, fk fake frames and fk ai upscaling at lower resolution.
Personally got 3080ti and there is huge difference in clarity in native 4k vs 1080p upscaled to 4k aka performance dlss at 4k, trade off is- burden on the gpu is lessened by a huge margin.

What im saying is- something gotta give, u wont get perfect card at 400-500$ pricepoint, if i was budget concious customer i would rather give up fake frames(which are totally useless on midrange and lowend gpu's anyways, u really need high fps and even then its far from perfect, at least current fake frames iterations) and dlss/fsr that is upscaling from below 1080p in favour of big vram pool(16gigs is big for lowend/midrange gpu) and solid native 1080p performance.

I'll love it to be 300 dollars, it'll be similar to how I got my brand new 1070 windforce 8gb almost 9 years ago for less than 300 dollars, I remember it being 200 something. if inflation didn't get too crazy than we could have gotten the 5060ti 16gb for 300. But even now 350 to 400 dollar tops seems decent. Hopefully it drops down to that point in a year or so.

I originally bought it to run Dishonored 2, Witcher 3, and Fallout 4 better but ended up lasting me way longer than I expected nearly 9 years later. Never would another generation be as good as the 1000 series in price to performance.

GTX 1070 is probably the best bang for buck card ever. Still powerful enough 9 years later to run some lower demanding recently released AAA games like Resident Evil 4 Remake at a good framerate in 1080P. Less than 300 bucks when it was still new at the time and with 8GB of VRAM. I originally bought it to run Dishonored 2, Witcher 3, and Fallout 4 better but ended up lasting me way longer than I expected nearly 9 years later. Never would another generation be as good as the 1000 series in price to performance.

Yeah the 1070 lasted well, but I've mostly played on PS5 this generation as pc parts pricing is just ridiculous. I have a PSVR2 and want to use it on PC also, but it requires at least an rtx2000 card, so I'm basically forced to upgrade.

The crazy prices is one of the main reason why I haven't gotten a new PC yet. There are some new games I wanna max out but none of them are really good enough to the point where I wanna get a new PC for. I'm waiting for the PC GTA VI and Elder Scrolls VI which would be some games that would motivate me to finally get a new PC or if my current one breaks.

I feel like we could have ran FFVII Rebirth too if they didn't do the directx12 requirement cause FFXVI didn't require it and they're both PS5 non cross gen games.

Yups all pascal cards were such a great value, had gtx 1080 here and played over 200h of witcher3 with both of its xpacks, full hd maxed out, game did hold stable 60 no matter what except one few seconds ingame cutscene when it showed a kitty's fur upclose(hairworks was super demanding :P ).

I can see the option being there fair for some of the folks who only play older games and whose computer just blew up and needs a quick fast budget fix. So a super budget 200 dollar or below rtx 5050.

So it'll be

Extra low end - 5050
Low end - rtx 5060
Mid end - rtx 5070
High end -rtx 5080
Extra high end - rtx 5090

This 8GB/16GB situation reminds me of buying a 2 entree vs 3 entree meal.

The former may be a ripoff, but if the latter costs only like 10% more it makes it seem like a better deal than it actually is... since it's "not that much more".

I'm sure that's why Nvidia is releasing the 8GB card, is so more people buy the 16GB card. People will get distracted by the "relatively good deal compared to the 8GB card" and lose sight of "$429 for a 60 series card, are you fucking insane" big picture.

1080p but with RT. Game is playable on 16GB version.

People forget that not only 4060/4060ti have 8GB but also 128 bit bus and half of pcie lanes.

GPUs like 3060ti and 3070 don't have cut down specs like that.
 
I have a vanilla 1660 I still game at 1080p and most games I play are fighting games. Would this be a decent upgrade? I'd like the AV1 encoding as a bonus.

These are 1440p cards and not using dlss is a retarded decision.
ESPECIALLY on far more recent games.
This card would shit all over my 2060 Super so I think this is a big win in my book.

This thing should be competing with the 4070ti and knocking at the door of the 4080.

Right now its losing to the 4070, struggling with the 3070Ti from 5 years ago and barely able to beat the 4060Tis its supposed to be replacing.

If you buy a new card every year or every other year, I can see the concern.
I only upgrade once every several generations or as necessary\desired.
The reason why I bring up the 2060 Super is because even though it's old now, it held its own for a good while, and that's where my upgrade will start at.
Personally, I don't need ultra settings, making sure every subpixel is perfect and 4k resolution to be happy.
Why use ultra when a lot of times high looks exactly the same in many cases and extremely trivial in others?

The 8gb version I am avoiding like the plague. I can't care any less about that, it's all about the 16gb version for me.

It's kind of pathetic. The 5060 Ti will be bust ~65% faster than your 2060S. You've waited three generations and you don't even get double the performance.

In contrast, the 5090 is 3.43x faster than the 2080 Ti. If you factor in price, the $1200 MSRP 5080 is still 2.25x faster. Those performance gains in the budget segment are pitiful.

Sure but low end should be $200 or maybe $250 not more than that. $379 for any 8gb gpu in 2025.

If the 5070 ti wasn't a grand or even its msrp, but 600, i'd get that instead.
I'm still waiting for 9070 xt to go down in price.
And believe me when I say this... I am a very patient man.
