The thing is, they got the concept right, just relied to much on hailing back to the original with the dialogue and other shit

It could of been a decent attempt

As an idea it's better than prey imo, that's not to say its a better film tho.

Id at least put it in a ranking

I'd rate the face better than Feral and Spider Predators, but on par or slightly worse than number 10.

Contrary to how nostalgic everyone is being in this thread, I still think Wolf Predator from AVP2 remains the best looking one.

i really like the original predator that looked so alien. This one doesn't. I will see it when it comes to streaming but I won't go out of my way to especially watch it. Probably just stumble on it and go "ok let's get this over

Prey was decent. Not the best not the worst but decent.

Predator is fucking amazing. In fact a certain reaction on here is homage to the film.

I expect this to be a CGI fest replacing any decent story. I'll say it will be like 45-50% ratings wise. Plus not very memorable either.

The problem with all the predator films past the first 2 predators, is they forget a key feature, it's a horror film, a sci fi slasher film in essence.

Take the big 3 80s sci fi films, all slasher horror films (in essence), predator/alien/terminator (granted alien was 79.. but whatever)

They worked because the concept was simple and well executed. The sequels to all of those changed the dynamic of those and made bigger higher budget action films

It needs to go back to its roots imo, and make a horror style film.

It's not a hard concept to even do

Take elites special forces (army, navy, sas, police force), drop them in a war zone (ww1, ww2, iraq) fighting an enemy, predator right in the middle picking them off 1 by one, in a hot climate, it basically writes itself.......

Why predator 2 still works, it's the exact same formula as predator 1.

Love his design overall, but the face is wrong, his mandibles open bigger than his head
