Switch 2 Pre-Orders. Did you get one?

I know I'm not even concerned by this topic since I'm not from NA, but it could've been interesting to add a poll to know where most people managed to get their preorders from.

LOL, here on Brazil the console is more expensive than a PS5

PS5 Slim Bundle 2 games = R$ 3.500 or U$ 616,175
Nintendo SW2 + MK9 = R$ 4.800 or U$ 845,04.

PS5 games = R$ 349 or U$ 61,44 ( there is some price localization )
SW2 game = R$ 500 or U$ 88,02 ( zero price localization )

Fuck Nintendo, i ll wait for the moded version 100%

Apparently I got a bundle and non bundle at Walmart after 45 minutes of trying. We'll see if they don't cancel those orders after the dust settles.

Sweet Jesus, this has been one of the worst launches ever. Some places sold out within seconds.

Anyone who thought this console would flop is three sheets to the wind.
I mean a console coming off the back of a 150 million and counting success. Launching with Mario Kart Nintendo's biggest selling franchise. Yes people were either insane or wanting it to fail. I suspect the latter option is true on here.

I got one from Walmart through their line system. It was about 55 minutes of line waiting so I'm still skeptical about it being canceled but so far it hasn't been.

Currently waiting in line in front of my local EBgames.

If you're at the head of the line you're good.

Currently 13th at mines.

Waited in line for almost two hours on the Best Buy app, eventually said it was sold out. I was about to give up but ten minutes later after refreshing it allowed me to add it to my cart and process the order. Fingers crossed it's not cancelled.

This was the easiest thing to get in years. I don't think this system will be near as popular as the Switch 1 and Nintendo fanboys will have to realize the mistake in accepting the game keys and price jump for games.

Got lucky.
Target didn't work until it was sold out. That is, the order I did manage to get through got canceled as well. (Those cancelations went through before confirmation emails which was weird)
Walmart sold out fast after they removed the queue, which I wasn't lucky enough to get through.
BestBuy pickup worked thankfully, though it bugged twice before I got to checkout confirmation. Got in around 12:40AM CST

I think Walmart got a crazy big allocation of systems. BUT -- we'll see. Mine is also from there --- but it's not the MK Bundle, which is what I want. Wally will be my fallback -- assuming the order stays.

Huh so you ended up ordering successfully but got an email saying the order was canceled?

Congrats on getting one though another way!
Yep, was weird. Got the cancelation email near immediately, and then 15 minutes later the confirmation email. Was confusing as hell till I checked the order numbers and purchase history to confirm it was canceled on Target.

I randomly opened the GameStop app and was able to snag another Mario Kart bundle with zero issue. Dunno if they're still available.

I had two orders successfully go through at Target, only to get cancelled. Then after they sold out I received two emails 10 minutes apart that my orders were successful - which then directed me to new cancelled switch orders.

I got a bundle through the Walmart queue. I received both my PS5 and Switch 2 through Walmart.

got one thru target app last night, annoying as usual. god the games are stupid expensive...if i think long enough about the purchase i may cancel

No interest. Went to toys r us early for the switch on launch day cause everyone forgot it existed!

This time I've got enough stuff to keep me occupied. I don't care about mario kart and I'm not a big enough Prime fan to buy that. The info about 3rd party physical games and the pricing of games really killed off any enthusiasm
Well I'm a sassy little liar. Drove by gamestop and saw the line was shortish.

Gamestop secured. Got Core system, MKW, SF6 and DK Bananza.

They got about 85 units (actually good stock numbers) with the majority being the MKW bundle. Was about 40+ ppl in line by the time I left. Good experience overall.

GS servers getting hit hard right now
Gamestop kinda screwed up and actually put preorders up early.

They were supposed to go up at 11AM est but the in-stores were letting people in @ 10AM est so the website opened Preorders early too. The people waiting for 11AM never stood a chance. Stock was Gone by 10:30AM

No, not this time. I have the Switch and every other console, but when I game it is usually on PC now.

I decided I'm not a bitch on all fours in heat for their pricing on games. I went from buying a ton a games a year till pretty much nothing and only deep sale on PC.

Also has a lot to do with gaming in general with almost everything having a storefront, subscriptions, etc. Just a money sink at this point.

This is why it's always dumb to announce times. Put it up randomly so they go to the most dedicated who are willing to sit in front of a screen all day. When you announce the servers get smashed and it's just the luckiest win.

Got a Mario Kart bundle an hour and half after pre-orders opened up at Walmart. Was hoping for Best Buy but they completely shat the bed last night.

Guess there were low sales in my region as I was able to get the base model at 7AM from Walmart too.

Nope, nada. But honestly I didn't really try that hard. Was in meetings at work because in Canada it was a 9am for best buy and I've got other shit to do.

Crossing fingers for the nintendo invite program.

Even if I end up buying it end of year it doesn't really matter. I need it for MP4 ideally.

Yup, PC is my primary platform now which is nuts because I didn't start gaming on PC again until the middle of the PS5/Series X console gen. Better prices and performance after the initial investment of getting the PC and monitor.

GTA6 and maybe Death Stranding 2 might be the only games I will play on console this year and I have ps5 pro for that.

Mario kart isn't enough for me to buy a switch 2, going to wait for a new Zelda.

It wasn't too difficult to get one this time around, as long as you were ready right at the start, atleast with Target. I got one at 12:01 EST, and it stayed in stock for over 30 minutes for both the bundle and non-bundle.

Compared to the PS5 launch where it was gone in literal seconds and the start times were random, this was a breeze.

I did with Target, I had it in my cart, hit place order and I got some payment error, and after that on the app, the "Place order" button didn't even work because there was an exclamation next to my card in the payment section. I had the funds available and it's an active card so I have no idea wtf that was about. I just assume a server issue that caused it to not work right.
