Nintendo Switch 2 |OT| Switch 2 Nintendo, because now we're playing with power

Walmart really impressed me, the system was here at 5:30am(East coast time)
Just have to download the update(s) for it via online and get it set up. :messenger_sunglasses: :lollipop_fire:

As of this am, Verizon still has stock as i just ordered one!! Link says you dont need cell service with them to order, but i can't confirm that part since ive been a customer of theirs for 20yrs lol. But either way, if you need one still go go go!!!!!

Has anyone tried using a USB C to HDMI cable plugged into the bottom port? I actually have one I'm going to try later, but I'm stuck at work now.

If it works, can you charge it at the same time using the top port?

Mine just arrived, and the first thing I noticed is that the wifi antenna is not very effective. It won't connect at all in the room where I am, whereas no other devices (including Switch 1) have any problems.

Moved it elsewhere to do the system transfer, but then it failed because it lost its internet connection. Moved it even closer to the router, and had to complete the whole sign in procedure on my phone. I'm now waiting while it chugs along very slowly.

Not the best first impression!

edit: Now after 10 minutes of that it has given me an error code saying it has no internet connection. What a piece of crap!

Will try out Vanishing of Ethan Carter as well. Game has unlocked framerate and FOV options.

LA Noire runs stable now but doesn't go above 30. It thought it had variable framerate. Maybe that's docked only.
I'm pretty sure LA Noire in general is 24/30fps because of the motion capture/movie stuff. I know on PC with fps unlockers it breaks certain missions because of the physics, but can be done.

Yes, on PC there is now a good 60fps fix but the game in general really needs a visual update. Even on PC.

On Switch it runs stable but it's 30. Just tried Alien Isolation and the input lag is still here. Witcher 3 runs locked 30.

Picked up my Haul!

MK Bundle
Pro Controller
Charging Grip
Zelda BOTW
Cyberpunk
512gb card

The Gamecube controller should come today as well as the camera.

I have my friends coming over all the time for MK and mario party, think the Camera would make things stupid and funny

Pro tip:

If you plan to use the S2 outside or in environments with lots of light, use a matte (anti glare) screenprotector.

Got 2 from jsaux (Amazon) for 10 euro and there's even an installation tray included for retards.

Matte takes away a little bit of "pop", but it sure as hell makes sure you won't see your own fat fucking face the whole time.

Walmart delivered my Switch at 6:40am this morning, Been playing Mario Kart World and its really fun. Hope the rest of you are having a blast with Switch 2. Time to see what these Switch upgrade can do!

If I don't want to fill my new switch 2 of original switch games I'm not playing right now, can I just login with my Nintendo account and download whatever games I want from there? Instead of a transfer

Can my Nintendo account be on both my switch 1 and switch 2 at the same time? I plan to also keep my switch 1

Quick review after like 2 hours on it:
- looks indeed premium, or at least more premium than the OG Switch (the only one I had back in 2017)
- Screen is big and super nice
- Joycons don't feel sturdier though, like different but still the same
- eShop is super fast compared to Switch 1
- the Game Cube selection catalogue is disappoiting, only 3 games, I thought they'd put Mario Sunshine for launch
- Cyberpunk 2077 runs great, I favour performance mode and great experience so far. Best looking game on a Nintendo device so far

I call out Nintendo on a lot of bullshit most people overlook but how on Earth are people criticising this screen? It's stunning, seriously.

Yes. I have 3 Switches and that's totally possible. Just don't do the transfer thing when asked.

Yeah, it's good. Especially for a non OLED screen and this price point.

But the German dude wants the clicks. He's right, but he's wrong.

I did not get pringles or a coke from Walmart.

There is something that my LG doesn't like about the HDR. I had to turn off the tv setting for it to get the screen to show up on my tv.

I need a much longer cable hdmi.

Soooo, if you're playing docked, you can't use 120Hz unless you set your resolution to 1440p or 1080p, WTF?

So you gotta pick between 4K resolution or 120Hz, so lame.

Mine won't arrive until tomorrow or Saturday. That's fine I'm in no rush, I don't even have any games to play for it. The only "launch title" I ordered was Bravely Default and it's one of those cart key things and I don't even plan to play it right away nor is it even a true Switch 2 title. I'm not a Mario Kart fan, I could never get into it, but I would have given it a try if not for the price. I flat out refuse to do a blind buy of a game for that price. So when it gets here I'll hook it up, mess around with some of the features and then it'll likely collect dust until Donkey Kong comes out. That and Metroid Prime 4 are the only titles I have pre-ordered for it at the moment.

I haven't connected it to the TV yet (lot's of rearrangement needed) but I instantly started bayonetta 3 in handheld mode, and it runs so much better!

I know i've already posted about it already but I just cannot get it to output 120hz, tried two monitors now, different resolutions, nothing. Really annoying

Question to the elders of the internet.

Switch 1 games that do no have specific Switch 2 patch/upgrade, and had noticable performance issues on Switch 1 - do they run the same on Switch 2 with the same issuee, because S2 runs S1 games on emulator (I think) or are they smoother because of more processing power?

Hopefully someone here can help a friend of mine out. He wants to connect his Switch 2 to his router, but it's greyed out. Switch 1 works fine. What is this?

A lot of comments since I last checked, so I am sure its been talked about. I can't believe a GameStop in NY stapled the receipt to the Switch 2 box and damaged the screens. I would be so pissed
