State of Play |OT| COMING BACK STRONGER! September 24th (2pm PT // 5pm ET // 10pm UK)

*In the past.
Obviously, they didn't do it in the future. What do you expect, you have them saying it on Twitter evey week?

They didn't mention the PS+ or accesory sales, do that means they are doomed too? They report the numbers every quarter. And obviously talk about it when asked in some Q&A chat with press and investors, or when there's something special to highlight (like the record release of Helldivers 2).

Let's see if it still holds or is past over.
Almost around half of their first party game revenue is made outside PS consoles, it would be very retarded and nonsensical to go back to be PS only, particularly because these games outside PS is helping to grow the PS console userbase, so indirectly make even more money.

And yes, it will hold. Games like Marathon, Marvel Tokon will do a great job in PC too, and the calalog revenue (games/ports released in previous fiscal years) will continue doing a great job (particularly the GaaS ones).

Keep in mind we're almost in October and they haven't announced any first party games going to PC this year.

Brace yourselves for disappointment fellas, 5 minutes George Soros will be good but the rest...

I don't know why we keep hyping ourselves up each and every time.

Going to go watch the show, see you all later

If the apparent square enix surprise is Chrono trigger or Xenogears in the new 2d 3d style I will lose my fucking mind

I'm hoping something from Guerrilla Games but that's probably too soon. Excited for Saros tho, I replayed Returnal last week what a game!

I know that for gaming flatearthers like you it's hard to understand, but in the real world Sony released in PC this year:
  • Freedom Wars Remastered (via Bandai Namco, and in Switch too)
  • Marvel's Spider-Man 2
  • Stellar Blade
  • The Last of Us Part II Remastered
  • Patapon 1+2 Replay (via Bandai Namco, and in Switch too)
  • Midnight Murder Club
  • Lost Soul Aside
  • Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots (via Bandai Namco, and in Switch too)
  • DLC of Destiny 2, Helldivers 2, Days Gone
Plus in Xbox:
  • MLB The Show 25 (in Switch too)
  • Helldivers 2
Plus in mobile:
  • Destiny Rising
The only new games that they release day one on PC are live service games (they announced Tokon, which will be day one on PC) and some of their experimental games (you have some above).

Regarding ports of tentpole games, they already ported everything except Death Stranding 2 (it's too soon), Astro Bot, Gran Turismo 7, Demon's Souls and Bloodborne (which pretty Sony decided to strategically not port at least for now). Nathan Drake Collection and GoW Greek Saga would have make sense to port them, but if they didn't do so pretty likely is that they have another plan for them (remakes, now that Nixxes almost don't have anything left to port).
