I suspect that they replaced Jean with Mistique because Jean wasn't in the trailer.
My guess is that X-Men is further off, canceled, being re-worked or is a long shot to happen after the leaks so they are 95% but not 100% sure X-Men is going to happen, so they don't build Wolverine around that in case the next game needs to be Wolverine 2 or god forbid Deadpool or X-Force.

I believe Jean will still be there. This game will be full of women from Wolverines past and present. Wouldn't be surprised if we see Wolverines adopted daughter and the assassin lady that's her caretaker as well.

Haha. I can't say I've ever watched a single one of her videos. Just every thumbnail that someone posts of her, she has her glasses that way and it just makes her look dumb to me. Kind of like how the dummy girls think that vocal fry voice makes them sound intelligent.

There's something ironic about a SBI fight around an X-Men game, a series that has always felt like it born around inclusivity, which has been a central theme and the focus of at least a few of the sound bites from its creators over the years. It's definitely one of the things that cemented its importance in pop culture / history. So, both sides lose here?
There's all sorts of interpretations of the characters, I don't particularly like this Mystique, or most of the designs from X-Men: Evolution for that matter - Magneto, Rogue, Scarlet Witch, Gambit might be the worst I've seen, and so on, but it's still a pretty fun show.
That said, hopefully they do a good job with any other X-Men they bring in and the game's a blast.

Not feeling this one at all. Art style feels like a whiff and the action feels like a cartoonish approach to R Rated violence that's all about mindless slashing, but I see that a lot of people are super happy with it. I'll step away, no point in being super negative - hope it turns out well!

After Spider-man 2 (and Sony western studios in general these days), this is going to be a wait and see. As badass a trailer may look, they can still make this an intolerable piece of shit with it's story and dialog (again, see Spider-man 2). I want to be wrong (as I was looking for to this before SM2), but this is Insomniac.

Looks somewhat similar to leaked footage mechanically, lol. Was expecting to be nothing like that.
Apart from that, gameplay is probably a string of cinematic sequences like … kill these goons …. Now ride this bike …. Now slide down this chimney…. Wheeeee

The post linked from this dyed haired E girl is trying to imply she's "ugly" when mystique entire "character" is quite literally all about her not giving a rats ass about that.
This is a woman who can change her appearance to be appealing to literally anyone.... and chooses to look the way she was born looking. Being 'attractive' is the last thing on Mystiques mind, unless that is a part of the mission.

well, i'm unfamiliar with mystique as a character, but a search of mystique images showed a number of different looks, including this one:
which doesn't really look all that different to me than the one in the clip. like i say, do a search, & you'll find a variety of images that look way different from each other than these 2. so, yeah, no biggie to me...
