posts news as their odd job
- Plastic is now entirely matte
- Storage is back down to 825GB
- Weighs slightly less than first slim model
- Power consumption is the same as first slim model
Many people were complaining about the glossy finish of the top part and the middle black part. If it is not cheap-looking, it could be a point in its favor.

Fuck glossy plastic. I'm glad the middle black part is matte too even if it looks slightly worse.
Sony always starts glossy and ends up in matte . Almost as if planned...Fuck glossy plastic. I'm glad the middle black part is matte too even if it looks slightly worse.
He just tore down the revised PS5 slim. What have you ever done?I'd rather pay 30 bucks for an OF video than watch this idiot.

Nintendo is getting ideas. Wait for a 128GB Switch 2 Lite.Still can't believe they put the old SSD 825GB chips back while making record profits. This is so greedy.
Slightly less storage. Calm down. Blame the tariffs.Selling a worse product than before is anti consumer.
Fuck the PS5. Let's tear this guy down.
I would have thought they would have moved to a 3nm die and made a smaller console… really makes no sense.A few minor improvements, a massive downgrade on the SSD.
And still no die shrink that would reduce power usage and die size.
What a waste of time.
3nm cost more....so makes a lot of sense.I would have thought they would have moved to a 3nm die and made a smaller console… really makes no sense.
So much pearl-clutching over a product that the people complaining weren't ever going to buy!
The increase to 1tb from the 825gb that all PS5's came with happened in November 2023, and I don't seem to recall people thinking it was a big deal at the time.
So, basically its back to the same storage capacity as was normal for most of the PS5's existence... Won't somebody think of the children!?!

'We upgrade the storage, but consumers wouldn't give a fuck so we go back to less storage'.
lmao
