I will, and nobody cares about your gaming status.

Actually, you're right. It won't be identical to the PC experience because I can put the console into sleep mode whenever I want and pick up playing from there, something I can't really do on PC
Tbf you have a point, its actually a good trade off, having to boot the game and waiting 30 seconds every time i want to resume play at 120fps is really annoying now that you mentioned It, thank you.

It's more about the fact that a lot of JRPGs don't allow you to save anywhere/anytime so playing on console gives me the freedom to start/stop playing whenever I like without having to worry about getting to a save point.

To be fair, I'm not sure what the save situation is with Digimon, but if I'm not 100% sure I can save anywhere/anytime, I will generally go for the console release of a JRPG over the PC release.

Thats a really good point, but not worth the performance trade off imo, If they make a 60fps mode on console i ll jump in, till then PC It is.

Playing it right now and it absolutely rocks.

Had to adjust to some of the changes coming off Cyber Sleuth on the Vita from years ago. Think there are only 6 party spots? (You used to be able to have more and upgrade Memory). Also ABI and CAM seemed to have been re-named to something more logical and readable I think? Evolutions seem to be handled differently too? But I'm all for it and enjoying the cozy vibe of the Digimon world.

It's really cool how there are so many animations for the Digimon, including a victory animation. Also unlike Pokemon (which only does it in the anime), everyone speaks and says their attacks and stuff. Really good touch.

I would agree with these takes if Digimon was a graphical showpiece for the PS5.
Do you not plan on moving your character?
Why? 60fps isn't only about input response, games also look a lot better at 60fps with smoother looking animations and camera movement. And traversal/exploration still feels better, it's not all just menu based gameplay.

Besides they are charging a full $70 for a game that looks like it could have released on Ps3 with a few tweaks, the least they should offer is good performance.
Take a note from Falcom, their games might look dated too but they run great on Ps5. The Trails in the Sky remake runs at 60fps with good image quality and it even has an optional 120fps mode.
The game already looks much better than the cybersleuth games and after I've been playing the 2nd cybersleuth game and this new digimon game looks stunning in appearance in comparison to that game. I also just don't ever expect 60 fps in a turn-based jprg.

On the moving issue. The character will most likely just walk and maybe run and won't require quick movements so as long as the character moves fairly smoothly, I'm good.

On Fbh, the game looks a lot better than the cybersleuth games they released on the ps4 that I believe cost 60 when they released. Full price is now 70 these days so gaming companies are going to charge it when they can. It would be better to just compare them to the last game rather than a game from another company. I get comparing it to falcom but this has different devs, ip, and budget for the game. 60 fps can help in traversal and camera movement, but I just don't think both those things were ever a major focus for the gameplay in the game. I do think the game should be at 60fps considering the style and details of the visuals but I just never expected it from them. Isn't most anime games 30fps on console?
