sad state of affairs really , because the performance of this thing is quite good , should have been 12gbvram

They had shit ton of time to design this thing. They could have used 96bit bus + a bit faster memory and it could be 12GB, no problem.

Even fucking 10GB would be better, it's bare minimum in 2025.

But no, just copy nvidias bullshit practices, how successful was that so far?

getting my first radeon gpu soon , a 9060xt 16gb and i have three brands to choose from.........
-sapphire pulse
-xfx swift tri fan
-asrock steel legend
what say you neogaf?

All are fine I think, but 3 fan versions should be quieter/cooler and allow more OC room in theory. If price isn't too different than XFX or AR is fine, Pulse costs lot less where I am atm.

price aint too different among the three but what about the samsung vs hynix vram? everyone recommends a gpu with samsung vram chips as it runs much cooler

The XFX Swift/Asrock Steel have a slightly higher boost clock and 3 fans. Both have 2 DisplayPorts/1 HDMI.
Pulse is smaller by about 2 inches, checked mine and it has Samsung VRAM. Has 2 HDMI/1 DisplayPort.

how were the temps during summer? loud fans?
When it was 30C in my bedroom, the GPU was cool/quiet when gaming, seems to run hotter on idle than my 3060 but that's probably because I don't think the fans even turn on unless it goes above 60C (GPU-Z says 0RPM @ 56c with the render test, will launch a game and check and update this post).
Edit: Yup, can confirm they turn on at 60, but very quiet.

In the AMD driver, in the tunning section, there is an option to turn off zero rpm fan speed.

got the gpu used ddu installed and it works but , adrenalin recommends changing system boot bios from csm to uefi , thing is i cant see the bios menu , all i see is a black screen

im getting 60 degrees celsius in gpu memory at idle with fans at zero rpm , isnt that high?
gpu temp is 40 and hotspot is at 42 at idle
ambient temp is 26

Checked mine using GPU-Z, it's between 46 and 55c with FireFox open. Seems normal.

Edit:

those are reasonable at 30 degree ambience with zero rpm on the dual fan sapphire pulse
i will stop worrying about temps till summer next year
