UPDATE (Oct 5, 2025): Microsoft has provided the following statement, echoing our previous report: "We are actively investing in our future first-party consoles and devices designed, engineered and built by Xbox. For more details, the community can revisit our agreement announcement with AMD."

So you're a third party publisher who has no redeeming qualities in terms of buying your next console but yet you wanna convince people you're not dying. The only thing they had going for them was gamepass and now that's out the window because you raised the price to the point it's now a detriment. You're fucked and everyone and their grandma knows it.

Yeah this is obvious to everyone except the big brains at GAF. The second largest market cap company just made a muti-year partnership with AMD and launched their cloud platform out of beta, following a historic acquisition. They are only just getting started.

It's not like they became a trillion dollars worth company because of Xbox consoles

Yeah sure we believe you as MS never lie about things right? Look even if they do release new hardware it will just be basically a PC with Xbox branding/case and gamers might as well just go buy an actually PC at that point.

With Game Pass effectively being de-prioritised, I have no idea what their next Gen plans are. All I know is: a console without exclusive games to push it ain't worth much.

This reminds me of the wii-u era everyone wanted it to fail so hard and said Nintendo lost their way and were dead and then they pulled a miracle switch out of their lazy asses. Maybe we will see the same from Microsoft, maybe not.

Nintendo still had a relatively successful handheld line at the time.

Bro the clowns running Microsoft Gaming are nowhere near Nintendo's level.

This is almost insulting to Miyamoto and Iwata tbh.

Xbox next step should be a version of Gamepass on PlayStation and Nintendo. But that will realistically only get permission if Xbox have pulled out of hardware

There is another thing here... Nintendo never unlearned how to do games (case in point, the number of ported games from WiiU to Switch). Do you TRUST that THIS microosft is capable of creating a game that will atract good attention ?! I do now.
