Maybe his Microsoft sources have told him something that has given him a renewed sense of confidence, like it's not close to dying. Or he is just attention seeking and he should be added the ignore list.

His Microsoft sources use him as a glorified PR arm for the company, so he should be ignored either way
 
what misinformation? Is he trying to gaslight us? Was the xbox series x always $650? Was xbox live ultimate always $30?

I *used* to be a dedicated xbox fan until last gen with the tvtvtvtvkinecttvtvkinect bullshit made me realize the ps4 was going to be a better successor to the 360

(Oh, and also MS dragging halo and gears well past their primes)

Jez lost his credibility, but it's true that some people can't wait to see Xbox die, the same way if it was Playstation dying some people would be celebrating too.

It's how it works, but Playstation has more fans.
 
Well, he is right. But, does he not understand that there is a list of reasons why these people want Xbox to die?

Some of it is fanboyism, but it's not like the majority isn't just because they are fed up with Xbox.

At the beginning of the generation, this forum was a circus because of Xbox fans. It was impossible to comment on anything officially informed by Sony without a dozen lunatics shouting "it must be a lie."

Now there are fewer of them. After all, several were banned for FUD, for astroturfing, for combining narratives on Discord. Jez himself was one of them, with delusions of "PS5 on fire, Sony desperate,"
 
There's probably truth to it, lots of factions, political and gaming related, have reasons to want to punish Xbox, a division of Microsoft. Throw AI into this mix and the noise would indeed seem overwhelming.

Not having a meltdown would be key to dealing with this I think.

There were people convinced it would make games have better graphics on playstation 😞
 
As proven by the Xbox porting games to PS5 saga. Jez doesnt know what's going on at Xbox.

No reason to ever believe him saying something isn't true again.

Does anybody beyond the fanatics care about any of this? Yes the subscription increase is unfortunate but it comes with more value for the consumer at least. Also everything increases in price regardless so it will happen for everything including standalone games.

The hardware thing is like are we listening to the so called insiders or the actual company?

It doesn't come with more value for the consumer. Old ass ubisoft games and fortnite crew 'who gives AF besides kids'. If a kid wants to play fortnite then he'll just play fortnite and subscribe to fortnite crew without using gamepass. Fortnite people who've subscribed to fortnite crew already won't give two craps about gamepass either.
