Im planning to get switch 2 + mario kart bundle, and minecraft. I need one more local co-op game for the family gathering

There are so many mario branded games, im not sure what's good what's even works on switch 2?

Do i need to get a sdcard for these 3 games? This switch is only going to be brought out for the weekends and back to its stand once the noisy family members leave

You don't need an SD card. Mario 3D World I guess. There isn't really any Switch 2 local co-op titles yet. So mainly it's the massive switch 1 library to look at.

Mario 3D World, Wonder and Rayman Legends all have 4p coop.

Switch sports runs much better on NS2. Crazy how no one mentions it.

3D World is a last-gen game but it has a Switch 2 update. Depending on the audience you might consider the 2D games too, New Super Mario Bros. U DX and Mario Wonder. I think U DX is kind of the standard issue, quintessential Mario game. Not bad, not outstanding, just solid levels and 4 player on a simple 2D plane, gets the job done (it's way better than the Wii one IMO). Wonder is good either way but given the choice I'd play it second...like Yoshi's Island after Mario World, but there's def co-op fun to be had in its wackiness.

Mix in some arcade co-op with TMNT/Marvel grade third party stuff old, new or both.

At this moment in time, I would look backward to Switch titles that might fit your bill - there isn't much presently for Switch 2. Mario Kart is an option, but you're already picking that up.

Yap i am looking for switch 1 games, they are cheaper. Sonic crossworld is priced at current gen srp, that's a nope for something that's going to be used by casuals

Just Dance and Mario Party would be best bet for kids. My kids and their friends always play Just Dance on the OG Switch when they get together.
