Odd post. If you're expecting any game to hold launch numbers "months down the line", you'll be disappointed forever. People move on and play other games - and that's a good thing. Helldivers consistently posts 33k daily players, around 7% of it's peak. Baldur's Gate 3 - a single player game - consistently posts 50k daily players, around 6% of its peak. This is normal and indicates a game found a dedicated and active community of literally tens of thousands. On the other hand, Counter-Strike 2 posts north of 600k active players a day, around 33% of its peak - but it's free, runs on a potato, and is the most played video game in the world. So, if you're asking "Is Arc Raiders going to be one of the most played games of all time months from now?" the answer is almost certainly no. Will it have a dedicated and active community of literally tens of thousands? Absolutely. And if that somehow stops you from enjoying the game right now, then save your money and play Counter-Strike 2.
Well to be fair, every now and again a game comes out that does become the next big thing. Not something that's super popular for a month. You bring up Counter Strike but I think Fornite would be a better example. So I was basically asking if this was another Helldivers 2/Marvel Rivals situation, or am I really missing out on the next big thing. And I know nobody can predicte the future, but was just asking what people thought based on their experience with it.
