LOL. Mainstream franchises, he says

.
Yes. Mainstream franchise. We have two active threads about latest releases of two of those franchises.
Falcom will release

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC, during the fiscal year ending September 2026, the company said in its

What you think is one thing, but the reality is that the very few games mentioned that aren't in the Xbox catalog are nothing more than niche titles for general public (nothing compare with what Stellar Blade is)... and the rest are either already in the catalog or about to be released.
Yes some of those are in Xbox catalog, but only the few latest titles.
- MS paid for Star Ocean 6 to be on Xbox but not Second Story R which came after that. So many Star Ocean games are on PS4/5 versus just one on Xbox.
- Very few Neptunia games on Xbox compared to the entire catalog on PS4/5
- On Ys Origins released on Xbox compared to so many Ys games on PS4/5
These are the so called "Released on Xbox" titles in my list. And Trails, Atelier, Disgaea, Shin Sakura Taisen literally skip Xbox.
Ohh I forgot to mention in my original post. Most Vanillaware games are not on Xbox, compare that to how many Vanillaware games are on Playstation.
I will touch on some more next.
He's about to mention a niche game that he wants to present as mainstream, supposedly to argue that the Xbox's Japanese game catalog is "poor"... When were the days when the games mentioned were franchises like
All JRPG fans will skip a console if franchises I just mentioned are not fully supported on that platform. Ask any JRPG fan on GAF.
As already mentioned FF XVI Xbox port was the most low effort port, since it was not worth it for Square to make a good port. FF VII remake will arrive after 6 years, probably in the same condition as FF XVI port.
In FF XIV you have to still pay for Game Pass Core in addition to monthly sub, unlike Playstation.
Persona 5 Strickers skipped Xbox. Funny that you only mentioned Persona, not the broader Megaten. Nocturne skipped Xbox, when such an iconic title skipped Xbox, Megaten fans have no reason to care about Xbox.
Dragon Quest X is not on Xbox. Only Dragon Quest XIS, which is a switch port is on Xbox, but not OG Dragon Quest XI which has superior graphics.
At 13:38, 15;21, 16:54. Xbox Series X is the worse version. RE engine games usually perform better on PS5.
Why would Monster Hunter fans get the worse version?
The one game series where its actually supported all the way through.
You didn't answer my question about Japanese exclusives. Nintendo has Xenoblade and Fire Emblem, Playstation has Nioh, Demons Souls and Bloodborne. What does Xbox have?
And what does that have to do with anything? The absence of a franchise (especially a niche one) doesn't make the Xbox's Japanese game catalog "poor"... Because whether you like it or not, IT ISN'T, quite the opposite. And of course, the arrival or not of Stellar Blade on Xbox has nothing to do with the nonsense you're spouting.
Says a lot about the Xbox community to be honest. Dismissing some major JRPG franchises as niche. I have already done the breakdown for each series, worse ports on Xbox and sometimes coming years later when people have already played the game.
This is it, sir. You had to resort to the quality or deficences of existing game ports in the catalog to justify your claim that "Xbox's catalog of Japanese games is poor."
No need to add anything.
You have carefully dodged the topic of FF XVI on Xbox being such a worse version than PS5. And what that holds for future FF VII remake.
It's funny to see how far you've had to deflect the discussion

To me you are the one, so far deflecting the discussion pretending that fans of Japanese games will get a Xbox.
LOL, those games are released with Xbox users in mind, not those on other platforms...
No you have officially lost your mind. Which game has released with Xbox user in mind? Games like FF XVI are just lazy ports.
What you're saying is ridiculous and false. That thread compiles ALL games of Asian and Japanese origin, as well as JRPGs style games of all types and sizes, not just niche titles. There are no opinions, and it's not a promotional thread, but simply an informational one. But nobody expects someone like you, full of hatred and prejudice against everything Xbox, to use it for information when its content causes you pain and destroys your arguments.
Resetera really cares about Japanese games on Xbox, and you seem to like that site a lot. Also the OP alone mentions way more niche titles then my post.
