The Blood of Dawnwalker — Gameplay Overview (Part II)

I'm so looking forward to this, looks awesome.

EDIT: It needs to come out after Crimson Desert but before GTA 6. So like mid 2026

Looks like a well produced RPG! Not a fan of the Witcher senses thing, that shit sucks but whatever.

If the combat isn't megajank and the writting's good, I'm in 100%.

That will be great game, ofc as a polish witcher fan im biased, but even here i can predict delay to 2027 at the very least and crossgen release.
For ppl who dont have time watching this 28min vid- its basically witcher with vampires, made by ppl who worked on witcher series :)

Steam page is up. Might have been for a long time, but I didn't notice lol:

Also noticed that the game is going to have voices in Spanish, French, Italian and German. Pretty cool, no idea about other countries but it's not super common for those long ass RPGs with 8437594 lines of dialogue to be voiced in Spanish.

its basically witcher with vampires
Definetly gives that vibe. From the character design (not just the protag) to... everything else really.

Cool looking game for sure!

Definitely keeping an eye on this, it's looking to be the best vampire related RPG in a long, long while. Definitely very Witcher-esque. I think the only thing I'm kind of iffy on right now is the combat. The scene with the soldiers looked fine, but the earlier scene with the vampire didn't exactly look fun. Side step, slash, parry, slash, rinse and repeat. But I know they're taking feedback seriously and will improve with time. I hope it all pans out well!

Looks good, can't wait to play this, hopefully it releases in the first half of next year.
U can hear devs say and durning whole actual vid at the bottom its written-pre-beta stage, aka code for- we are at least 2 years away from launch :messenger_astonished:
On a positive side looks like game is more complete than gta6 which didnt give us any proper gameplay trailer yet :P

Compared to the first video, they've made quite a few changes. They even keep repeating 'we listened to your feedback.'

It's still fairly standard overall, though the sword combat looks a bit better. It's not reinventing the wheel, but with each new showcase it definitely looks noticeably improved.

Little by little, the hero's style is starting to take shape. So, sure... why not.

Witcher meets Bloodlines!

I think the story/writing will be the main selling point of the game , its pretty obvious that combat/graphics arnt the priority , and thats fine by me , the same was with the witcher , dark mature writing is always welcomed

I see they've taken the community's feedback with combat. Looks much better now. Still janky but looks good for AA title. If it doesn't have performance issues at launch it's day one for me.

EDIT: Still unsure if I will play this in PL or ENG dub honestly.

I mean it sounds okay but dunno maybe it will grow on me. I'm Polish but English dub just sounds a bit better to me.

Looks decent, but it's one of those games like The Witcher 3 that will really live and die by how good the narrative and characters are.
The combat looks a bit more interesting and complex than TW3, but still seems rather janky, and the visual presentation is pretty good though you can still see the AA nature of it in some of the stiff movement and animation.

Still really looking forward to it though.

For us native polish ppl playing in polish should be more intiutive for basically middleages romania invaded/infested/governed by vampires, they were basically our neigbours with tons of similarities in launguage, customs, architecture etc.

If we talking some CoD solo campaign where we leading team of navy seals on some secret special mission countering terrorism- ofc english will be way more appropriate/immersive :)

I know I should play in Polish but dunno honestly, how do you find Coen Polish voice?

No qualms from me- his voice sound like late teenager/early 20s male, so ofc cant compare it to battlehardened Geralt voice, in the end we all gonna do what feels best so w/e languague u chose- as long as u enjoy it it will be just fine =D

For comparision geralt's polish voice from 1st witcher- defo more manly/deeper/much more "toxicly masculine" aka the way we love it :P

Somehow the combat is now the least terrible-looking thing about it, but I still find it hard not to fall asleep in between. Hoping for the best, bracing for the worst

In TW3 english dub was way superior than Polish one so that made sense.

In this one based on gameplay videos english dub does not seems that interesting or particularly well performed, so I ll play polish I think

Pretty good sound design while fighting atleast. The sword on sword clanking and crashing sounds cool. Combat looks fairly fun. Game is really dark, looks like it'll make fights harder just based on visibility. The quest looked pretty in depth but I only scanned through the video as it was quite slow paced. This does have a lot of potential though and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

This looks great to me man, I've been following this since it got first announced. I hope they can realize their ambitions, since they got a whole trilogy planned.

PeteBull PeteBull does make some great point that Coen is in his early 20s and doesn't seem seasoned. So I may as well try Polish dub first.

Edit: Lips sync seems to be mostly done for English dub though from what I see. They still might work on it since it's pre-beta and I suspect that recording voice lines in English first as well as lip sync might be the priority first. We will see when it's closer to release date I guess, if it's another Ghost of Tsushima situation or not, I tried it play day on with Japanese dub but lip sync was really bad then.
