Routine

Have been looking forward to that game for about 10 years or so.
Looks like a more puzzle oriented version of Alien:Isolation.

Finally releases end of this year. Or so they say… I'll believe it when I play it.

 
There was a conference that happened during TGS that I wasn't aware existed, SAGE Expo, mostly focused on platformers.

Can confirm it's a solid reverse bullet hell action rogue-lite w/e the fuck. Real crunchy with all the blood and gore which I like.

Normally I ignore anything roguelike but Absolum is a great beat'em'up with roguelike elements so this one goes on the wishlist!

Here's a few on my wishlist that don't have concrete dates but have a listing between Q4 2025 and Q2 2026.

2.5D anime Metroidvania. Has a demo!

Pixel art RPG that "blends real time and turn based styles". No demo :(

Pixel art Metroidvania Souls-like. No demo :(

Pixel art Metroidvania. Devs previous game was 9 Years of Shadows. No demo :(

PS1 graphics cyberpunk survival horror. No demo though devs has said one is coming.

3D survival horror souls-like. Will launch in early access. Previous game was Withering Rooms, a pretty cool 2.5D roguelike souls-like survival horror. No demo :(
 
Weird Indie Dishonored-like imsim, Demo is janky af but charming



I like immersive sims and I like dishonored and I like vampires.

Have a demo and I will try it. Going need a whole load of TLC from their dev team before release though.

Edit: Regardless as that thread's creator, it makes no difference to me. I just like that people are sharing new and different games to each other that they're excited about, like how gaming used to be.

Looks like indie Aero Dancing/AeroWings Dreamcast (even that series' sequels caved and added and later even focused on the combat flight stuff beyond the acrobatics to entice people more mind). Probably too niche/Japanese and it ain't gonna compete with the big sims on their level but yeah.

Posted this in the hidden gem thread. Should've been in this one so just doing a copypasta.


Side scrolling hack-n-slash. The pixel art is very nice with great animation.

No solid release date (just 2026) but it has a demo that just came out. The prologue section is unimpressive but there is also a mid-game combat slice that was a lot of fun.

Also had this one pop up in my Steam Calendar.


Third person action RPG with turn based combat like Parasite Eve. There are quite a lot of outfits to unlock with many references to other survival horror games. There is a demo which has quite a lot of content if you want to unlock it all. I didn't want to burn out before release so I just completed it once. Turns out I wanted to play more and continue to play the demo to figure out and unlock stuff.

It's a fully 3D game made by a solo dev as far as I can tell so keep that in mind if you give the demo a try. I was quite engaged during the demo and wound up playing it to completion even though I should've went to bed :lollipop_sleeping: Absolutely picking this one up day 1.
