Stuck between 3 very different games…

Well…

As the title says, I'm stuck between purchasing one of three very different games.

They are as follows:

Dying Light: The Beast

Outer Worlds 2

Stalker 2

I know they aren't apples to apples comparisons, but I'm curious, for those that have played them, what you'd suggest win out if you were in my position?

Purchase but then wait on Stalker 2 a bit further. It's still being patched up and will probably be patched up again soon.

If you don't want to wait, then Dying Light: The Beast (Assuming you have played Dying Light 1 and 2).

Stalker 2 is kind of hard. But should probly be first on your list.
Outerworlds 2 is a much better game than the first one.

I don't know anything about Dying light. You should get that one.

Thanks for the responses!

Regarding Stalker 2….

What is the gameplay loop like?

Is it similar to Metro? Are you exploring cool locations and going into handcrafted dungeon-like areas?

It looks like you just wander around, throw a screw at some electrical shit and go through a storyline (I'm being facetiously reductive)

I think Stalker 2 is the best of that bunch...but I'd honestly say Dying Light: The Beast isn't a bad choice either.

Stalker and The Outer Worlds 2 I think will benefit more from playing later down the line, as they receive patches to still fix bugs there.

Great thread! I think you should play Final Fantasy X.

Outer Worlds 2.

Midway through it. Cant stop playing.

Stalker 2 is hardcore. Get it on sale so you won't regret if you fall off.

Dying Light haven't played. But they can be a lot of fun in coop.

Stalker 2 definitely. Now that the game is properly patched, it easily the best of the 3. Even without the patches it's still better in every single aspect.

I have all 3.

Outer worlds 2 is the most polished and fun of the bunch.

Stalker is the most immersive and chad of the bunch.

Dying light just wait for deep sale…

Although, to be fair, I also found OW2 surprisingly difficult on normal mode at the beginning. The enemies behind the bridge were all over-leveled.

I feel OW2 has surprising amount of itemisation potential. It is a bit old school rpgs where difficulty curve tends to be high.

That needs to be dealt with using right weapons with right modifications. It becomes a breeze if you get that right.

Buy a cheap Gamepass Ultimate sub and play The Outer Worlds 2.

Then play Ninja Gaiden 4, Silksong, Keeper, Expedition 33, Avowed, DOOM, bunch of Ubi games.

I have played Outer Worlds 1, not 2. I never finished it. It's still a fun game.

Dying Light I played, can't remember much about it. Guess you could say it's forgettable.

Stalker 2 is good, but it's still being worked on. I played it before a-life even existed in it. I will play again once a-life is complete.

They are all pretty mid as the kids would say.

Dying light is at least a known quantity. Id go with that.

You better off just saving your money though, go treat yourself to something outside instead

All 3 games are 7\10 and very different, impossible to chose without knowing what you like.

Wait for stalker to be completely fixed, wait for a discount for ow2, the beast during black friday is probably the cheaper one so you could go with it.

On pc or console?

Would recommend Stalker2 for pc (with mods). For console I can only imagine that it must be really hard....because of the game economy.

I've heard good things about The Beast. Stalker 2 though seems to suck the big one:

Lots of empty space with nothing to do, no A-Life, bugs galore, etc.
