[Toms Hardware] Bazzite delivers a petabyte of ISOs in one month as users avoid forced updates to Windows 11

Yesterday evening, I was literally typing a response to something in this thread while updating CachyOS in the background. Cachy suggested a reboot so I did, but something in the update broke my system.

I didn't really feel like figuring out what went wrong so I grabbed an Nvidia Bazzite image and installed that. Smooth sailing so far, and I see zero performance difference between Cachy and Bazzite.

Arch/CachyOS being on the cutting edge with rolling updates is great, until it isn't...

On the bright side of things, I don't seem to have the sleep/resume issue with Bazzite

I've had the same experience with Cachy, which is why I'm sticking with Bazzite/Fedora in the future.

I have yet to have that happen to me, over a year of CachyOS usage and updates didn't break OS so far.

But differences are so little that any modern distro would do basically so if anything happens in the future there's Bazzite, Fedora/Nobara, PikaOS and soon Pop!_OS with new DE apparently.
