I'm becoming an agentic videogame player

I don't write the rules. You know there's secretly some poor bastard in here who likes Concord but won't step up to join our ranks.

True. Like, we already know there's peeps here that enjoyed Vanguard. So if you're on that shortlist then you absolutely belong in the club.

Smarter than me who unseals my games, installs then, then never play them.

I would have thousands of dollars more in games had I just kept them sealed instead of opening to see if they were complete but not even played them.

With the 52 games in 52 weeks challenge I probably finished more games than I had done in 30 years. Whatever I play I finish, though the ones I don't really enjoy I either freeze for a while before continuing, or use a walkthrough to finish them quickly.

I drop games all the time. The moment I'm not having fun anymore I'm out. Too many games out there and other things to do beyond gaming as well. Can't waste your life like that.

If I don't like something, I'll stop playing it.

Hence, i have agency.

In the past, I had to finish everything.

I also have Quit and Not Interested categories. The first is for games I bailed on and the latter for all the crap I mostly got in bundles that I will never play.
Same, I had to do it. The era when bundles were everywhere took its toll on my library -- I redeemed near enough every key I had. Had to do some store page checking to see if I was ever likely to touch a lot of games, and the answer is a resounding "No". I've got 63 games in that category, which I like to hope was all bundles and so doesn't quite translate to wasted money...

For anyone that might want inspiration, my current category list is:

1. In Progress
2. Next In Line
3. Not Started
4. Finished
5. Abandoned
99. Won't Play

I have a ton of categories for different genres and game types as well.

And Backlog Next for a few games to move in and out next in line :).
