Path of Exile 2 Early Access |OT| An Exile like ARPG.

It's definitely worth picking up for the campaign alone. After that, not so much, but you'll still get more than your moneys worth by the time you get to the shit endgame and, unless they fixed it, terrible loot grind.
Not sure in when you last played but the endgame is better (0.3) from what little I've played and the loot is also much improved with a decent crafting system in play.

Bit disappointing that the endgame changes didn't make the upcoming patch but we are slowly getting there. Still,1.0 seems quite far off right now. No worries though as its been fun so far seeing the game come along.

You're correct though, the campaign is where its at for now, for me at least. 0.3 was great.

I've been playing a little bit yesterday and today to practice what I'm going to do for league start - I don't feel "rushed" because I'm just messing around, and for some reason I'm appreciating the campaign a lot more.

Yeah I know what you mean. When 0.3 launched I tried to get to the new stuff as fast as possible and didn't really take anything in. I enjoyed things more second go round on a different toon.

Looking forward to another crack this weekend with the Druid and the much needed performance boost.

To be fair, I haven't played it since the beginning of the year. I put in about 150 hours at launch and then fell off. Maybe they fixed the loot, but I don't think I'll ever like the endgame. It felt like a bait and switch to me. I never liked PoE1 and only really tried 2 because of the way they advertised the campaign as a slower, harder game, and it is, it's incredible. But then you get to endgame and it's PoE all over again, it's just a full screen, quick clear, spam fest like the first one and I never really dug that style of game. It literally felt like two separate games to me.

Like I said, though, I think it's worth it just for the campaign and that was back when there were only 3 chapters. It's the most fun I had in one of these games since Diablo 2 and playing Diablo 4 directly before this launch showed me how far that series has fallen off. And at $30 you absolutely get your moneys worth, and then some.

Reducing the pack size in end game is a good one. My witch didnt stand a chance even at tier 8s, didnt even try anything higher. Im itching to jump back in with another character.

I'm hoping that with the changes to the endgame, players can customize their difficulty and how the difficulty scales. For example, builds that do well in single target might juice for more bosses, less pack size, more monster HP, while builds that clear well might juice for more pack size and density. That would increase build diversity even more, which is a good thing IMO.
