Snapshot:

  • A fifth anniversary trailer has been released, reliving V's unforgettable journey through Night City and thanking the community for its support.
  • Cyberpunk Trading Card Game announced via trailer.
  • More partnerships and announcements include Cyberpunk 2077-themed Corsair gear, movie-poster-inspired Displates, and Viture XR Glasses.
  • New Collector's Set announced, featuring a light-up Relic biochip, USB thumb drive, and tarot cards.
  • Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is now discounted across various digital storefronts for a limited time.
Originally released on December 10th, 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 is an acclaimed open-world, action-adventure RPG set in the futuristic megalopolis of Night City. Players take on the role of cyber-enhanced mercenary V, taking on a fight for glory and survival — doing whatever it takes to become a legend and leave their mark. Since launch, the game has sold 35 million copies and has seen numerous wide-ranging updates, including the game-changing Update 2.0, the spy-thriller expansion Phantom Liberty, releases on Nintendo Switch 2 and Apple silicon Mac models and more. Over the years, it has cemented itself as one of gaming's most immersive open-world RPGs, and has developed a passionate and ever-growing community. To celebrate this journey, CD PROJEKT RED released a special trailer that looks back on V's emotional story in the City of Legends.

The anniversary isn't just about looking back. CD PROJEKT RED in partnership with WeirdCo posted a trailer announcing Cyberpunk Trading Card Game. Scheduled to launch a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in 2026, Cyberpunk TCG lets players put together the ultimate edgerunner crew with characters from across the franchise and pit them against their opponents in a fight to become Night City legends. Featuring custom artwork, Cyberpunk TCG is designed for trading card players, avid collectors, and fans of the Cyberpunk franchise alike.

A number of new partnerships and products were also announced as part of the anniversary, bringing more ways for players to interact with the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Available to pre-order, the Cyberpunk 2077 5th Anniversary Collector's Set gives players the chance to lay their hands on secret Arasaka tech. Presented in a steel case, it includes a light-up replica of the Relic biochip from the game, a USB thumb drive that contains the game's soundtrack, three holographic tarot cards, and two pins. The Collector's Set is available with or without Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition via the CD PROJEKT RED Gear store.

In partnership with Corsair, Arasaka Edition keyboard, mouse, and mousepad were made available for pre-order, bringing a touch of the megacorp lifestyle to players' setups.

Brand-new Displates have also been unveiled, featuring custom artwork inspired by movie posters, turning iconic characters from Cyberpunk 2077 — including Jackie Welles, Panam Palmer, and Adam Smasher — into would-be stars. Collectors can buy these Displates today.

CD PROJEKT RED has also teamed up with Viture to create the limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 Luma Cyber XR Glasses. These high-tec optics are available to purchase now at the Viture store.

Continuing their partnership with CD PROJEKT RED, Madrinas has a new Cyberpunk 2077 collection with an anniversary cold brew and shaker set available for pre-order — for edgerunners in need of a boost.

More information about Cyberpunk 2077 and the 5th anniversary can be found on the official website, Facebook, and X.

They should've just kept making expansions. Incredible game but now we will wait like 8 more years for a new game and another 1.5 for them to fix it.

Even if they were just new missions without big set pieces and Hollywood actors. I just need more content. I will not meet Hanako at Embers.

Just started a second playthrough to experience phantom liberty and all of the improvements. I'm sucked right in all over again and can't wait to get home and play it!!!

I remember my game being broken most of times. Things sure changed.

You know what surprised me back then? It was still more playable and fun than Skyrim. And didn't even gave this game a particular high score.

Still an amazing game and an incredible achievement. I still boot it up at times and just drive around the city. the density of it all is overwhelming.

Rolled credits twice on it I liked It so much. Once on PC. Once on Xbox. Now I got It on PS5 lol

Amazing game, but it's crazy to me how much they've thrown Male V under the bus since launch. That mother fucker has been MIA for the past 5 years. It would've been so easy to include both of them in the trailer.

Without a doubt the most broken game i've ever played at launch. There were times where I couldn't finish missions because of glitches (and couldn't fix those without a new save), had to constantly reload checkpoints and so on.

But despite that, I still loved it enough to look past all that and complete it.

So glad the game finally delivered a few years on when everything was fixed.

What an awesome game, my favorite game of this generation. Even at launch I enjoyed the hell out of it.

I played it through 3 times: 1 at launch, 1 after the 1.5 update, 1 after Phantom Liberty. I loved it all 3 times and might go back for #4 sometime in the future

I finally got around to playing this last week. The game is fine, but I HATE Cyberpunk. The whole world and atmosphere is just repulsive to me.

While the gameplay is good, I don't think I can finish this one.

My favorite game of this generation and one of the greatest of all time. Played through twice, once with Phantom Liberty and they just outdid themselves with that expansion.

Really amazing game. Just an incredible achievement.

I had a blast at launch playing it on an RTX 3080, but it's just so much better now. With full path tracing and ray reconstruction, it definitely gets my vote for best looking visuals.

Going through it again right now with a katana build.

My favorite game from this studio. The expansion took this game to a 9/10 for me.

Fantastic comeback story. Shame we never got a MP component.

See you in the next one chooms.

Banger game. My third most played game this year according to PlayStation. Got like 500 hours in total on PS5 version.

Should of never released when it did though.

They should drop 8th gen consoles and release Q4 2021.

But in the end game is still fucking amazing, I completed main version around 1.5 patch and I had great experience (on PC with RT).

Technically only playable since September 2023

I completed it in 2022 without issues. And even at launch I played few hours without any noticeable bugs, I'm talking about PC version of course (console versions were tragic).
