Based on an investor report a year or two (I think) they were planning to have the Max Payne remake out first then Control 2.

Not sure what led to them fast tracking this over Max.

OMG I am embarrassing myself being all fangirly about this. CONTROL is one of my fav game.

I knew lore wise hiss will come out and next game will be semi-open world. But goddamn the art style of the first game was UNMATCHED and they are going all out immersion on this one. Thank you Remedy.

Edit - Also melee focus with weird rods and shit. I am so hyped.

From what I know FBC flopped badly and they reduced the budget of Control 2 (it was initially expected to be equal to alan wake 2) so maybe they cut some features they were planning and reduced the overall scope so now we have it releasing earlier than anticipated. Could be completely wrong here.

Hack & Slash combat from Remedy was not in my book.

It's bold, considering combat in Control was already damn good as it was. Hats off for getting out of their confront zone.

Also, switching from female protagonist to male?
