I think it's telling that this behavior only started after he began the giveaways (correct me if I'm wrong).

It just reinforces my feeling that he thought he could get away with it because he was giving back to the community.

It really is a bummer man. Signalis was genuinely being rude, though admittedly Crimson's reaction was over the top. That being said, I've got a temper too and I can somewhat empathize with being pretty upset when someone insults you for doing something kind for people.

Crimson was great to this community man, he truly was. It's just such a shame to see. I get the boss's decision too though, as we can't be posting personal numbers and cursing someone out for several posts straight, even if the guy is a consistently negative ass in every thread and kinda deserves it.

It's just sad man. He was one of my favorite posters just for how generous he was to people. I didn't participate in the giveaways as I think the keys should go to those in need, but it was touching to see how much he loved giving to others.

Great dude with a hell of a temper and this could have and should have gone much differently, and I ultimately blame Signalis and Crimson equally for his ban, that's my thoughts on the matter in any case. Just wish it went down differently. Also wish that people wouldn't just straight up say mean shit for absolutely no reason, especially when someone is offering only kindness, it just makes the world a more hostile place.

Well said, and unfortunately true. Shouldn't be that way though. It's just that negative people are so used to being hurt that they in turn hurt others, it's honestly sad. True. I still like to hope if he was allowed to come back would be a wakeup call and he could make a change bc he likes it here. But no mods have weighed in so I doubt it.

Could be. Also, that's a very controversial thread on the terrorist attack. I'm really just talkinig about what happens in the gaming forum. Folks have bluntly said they do not think CrimsonTide deserved the ban so that's not normally a problem from what I've seen. But I get where you are coming from now.

Never remembered his posts on GAF aside his numerous giveaway threads which I didnt even both reading. I think I might had posted in his first one (if it was his) where he might had said pick a number 1-100 to get a free game. I picked 50. Lost. Didnt care. Not sure if that was even his contest thread.

From there, I remember tons of free giveaway threads, one where he even scrapped I think because it couldnt be regionally done, then he had one I think that had to be US only. I forget. It got out of hand, so I didnt even bother clicking the threads.

Not sure how legit all of this was, but I think it seemed he was a good guy who did give away free games. If he was a scammer here, we would had heard about it already.

For the recent debacle of him getting banned by going over the top with DMs to mods, who knows. He seemed to be overreacting, especially since he had also that recent thread to clear his name. Got weird.
