College Football Thread - "Whoa, Nellie"

Sorry for my pessimism guys. Alabama has done this shit to Auburn so many times it makes me sick.

Absolutely loving the butt whuppin'

But that's my point, why were they the undisputed number one team all season? Like most teams anymore, they don't play a lot of quality opponents, it's all just based on style points and feelings of the voters.

You're right, there are too many teams to have a proper playoff without eliminating a bunch right out of the gate, but I really feel seeding by votes (not to mention the voter bias) isn't the right play. How it gets fixed, though, I'm not really sure.
I mean, Ohio State played Texas, Illinois, Michigan, and Washington. They didn't play a bunch of cupcakes. But in the end, they couldn't handle the Indiana team which is currently pushing vaunted Alabama's shit in and they couldn't handle a dark horse Miami team which arguably played a weaker schedule than Ohio State's schedule

Can we say dynasty over. Lost to a basketball school.

Broke the Heisman curse too and won the bowl game.

At the end of the day, the only thing that should matter is wins and losses, not the argument of whether it was a quality win or loss. A system like the NFL would be ideal, but college football is way too big for a system like that.

Both lose.
I dont think Miami beats either of these teams playing now, I think Miami is by far the weakest team left

In all honesty I think Ohio State is a better team than Miami but rust or whatever you want to call it really got OSU

I know I am a Big Ten guy but honestly feel whoever wins the IU/Oregon game wins the natty

Saban says Miami is dangerous. So I would trust that.

I do think they have reached their limit too but it just depends on what opponent shows up.

I know many will disagree with me but I believe the SEC has been down this year. I live in SEC country so I got a lot of crap when I was saying the B1G was looking better this season.

Ole Miss is doing their best to make sure Georgia wins this one. How do you not know to run out of bounds there? He is not chumping out like that. :messenger_squinting_tongue:

It may not be the most "sportsman-like" choice, but I'd absolutely tell my players to interfere with an opponent if they're gonna beat you for a pass to the end zone.
